Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Its a shame this sale was the first time i actually posted on these forums and once its over ill probably be gone.

Just wanted to say it was a pleasure. Imo the GoG forum isnt really a social platform as its more of a Help section.

It was nice to just chill out, almost makes me wish GoG had a client with a social platform, chat, friends lists so i could keep this going.

Oh well.
How to redeem this code?

Uzur9: Now that I remembered I was going to ask you all a ?

... Any special order I should play the Ultima games in? or I guess I should ask, at what point should I play Underworld and Adventure ?
If you wanted to stick completely to the story order...

Ultima 1 through Ultima 6.
Savage Empire, then Martian Dreams.
Ultima Underworld 1 (It is set some time between 6 and 7 - whether it comes before or after SE and/or MD is ambiguous.)
Ultima 7 part 1 (The Black Gate) (~200 in-game years after 6.)
Ultima Underworld 2. (1 in-game year after 7p1.)
Ultima 7 part 2 (The Serpent Isle) (1.5 in-game years after 7p1.)
Ultima 8 (follows immediately after 7p2.)
Ultima 9 (follows immediately after 8.)

That said, UW1 largely stands on its own and can be played without worrying about spoiling anything from the main series. UW2 is linked to the stories of U7p1 and U7p2, but it is still playable without knowing them. Savage Empire/Martian Dreams are only vaguely connected to the main series and can be played at any point (or skipped entirely) without any real story-sequence implications.

Yea this is my first time actually speaking on GOG forum. A cool community. Only other great community I have seen since Dark Souls on gameFAQs. Feel free to keep me updated on your thoughts about King's Field. It is a series that has always been tragically overlooked.

Thanks for this, a question I was going to ask myself, when my budget allowed for Ultimas. Unfortunately, while I had UVII in my cart, I closed the wrong tab, and the sale was done, on the last chance round. *sigh*
Three hours of sleep and now I missed Sacred. Guess that's what I get for sleeping :P

I wanted to thank everyone who has been posting lists in this threads during the last few days :) It is really a help to see which games were last.
