Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Does any one have a spare copy of shelter to trade ?

Briareos262: Lucasarts has always been stubborn and now that Disney owns them too, they just don't seem to care as well.. Blizz is very protective of the games so yeah its next to nil seeing them here.

Minmataro: Sad thing is Blizzard doesn't sell the original Diablo anymore. I looked and they took it out of their shop. I feel the same way about the first 2-3 Elder scrolls games. Let GoG have them, they can support them so everyone can enjoy those games.
really, damn never noticed they took away the first Diablo game, heck thats what made them well known and loved by gamers.....well that and Warcraft 2 ^_^ Anyways im sure they will release the first Diablo again, sadly it will probably have some crappy DRM attached =(

Luckily I still have my original boxes to them. It's a shame so many new players can't play it now =(
Daggerfall is my favorite game of all time. Im not just saying that either. Its #1 easily. Have had it on my computer(s) since I was a wee kid.
Is it really possible to trade games like that on GOG? I would consider it but I already claimed mine.

N0w3gg: Bethesda is still giving away Daggerfall and Arena:

Minmataro: Oh i have them but ive yet to get them to run with sound... ive tried and tried. If they were on GoG they would atleast be supported and i could get some help.
use these
http://theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Arena_:_ArenaSetup_EN
http://theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN
That will make getting them to work right as easy as it can possibly get.

Try Groupees

Minmataro: Well... isnt that just a world of suck.

its pathetic we need those games to be preserved in digital form...
We need classics that are supported for newer generations to discover. Im kind of shocked when i dont see Day of the tentacle, Diablo, Freelancer and a bunch of other games i grew up playing not offered anywhere but on Ebay.

Blizzard recently added Blackthorn for free from their website

https://us.battle.net/account/download/ scroll to the bottom

Rumor has it the a remake of the Warcraft RTS games is in the works too

EDIT: Weird, 404 error when I directly link. Anyway, just google "Battle.net free games" and it will be at the top

I don't know about anyone else, but if Grandia 2 were to ever make it's way onto GoG, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

N0w3gg: Just looked up King's Field (never heard of it), looks like fun. Doesn't seem to be on GoG, though.

deathmyrk: No, sadly its only on Playstation 1 and 2, and they have released reboots on PSP. They are very unique games. One of a kind really. It's like there are just so many variables to take in with each weapon, and the games have this sense of exploration. They are very dark in nature as well. The thing that is the Achille's heel is that the game require patience, especially The Ancient City, as it involves a lot of backtracking. If you are very curious, they have let's play videos on Youtube. I got into the games after playing Dark Souls, and I am never going to sell/get rid of those games. I have also heard of Moonlight Sword editor where fans have created a PC prequel to Kings Field that is free. I never tried it though, but it looks great.

try them out.

I always wanted to try Daggerfell since Morrowind. That game was amazing. I love all the quirks in the game, like the obsession for mudcrabs and the wizard randomly falling to his death from the sky. I also loved the factions, and how there were feuds and property holds. I wish Bethesda would have spared the graphics in TES IV and V in favor of making deeper systems found in Morrowind. The latter aren't nearly as compelling as the former. But Daggerfell and Arena has always intrigued me. I have to find those games...

It is possible to trade redeemable codes, which you get when you select to gift a game, instead of buying it for yourself.

Once a code gets redeemed, there's nothing else that can be done, that game belongs to whoever redeemed it.
Is any one willing to sell their copy of shelter, l will pay via pay pal first :)
