Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Freebies don't count, or what?;)

Vestin: Game... 102/101? WTF?
Are they counting unique titles only?
They should be doing that, that was my guess from the start, counting the double freebies would have been strange.
Too bad the free one goes down before loading... :P
If you get postal 2, also get the mod "A week in paradise"
You can thank me later.
Tried to get Jade Empire, but got a bank declined payment message. I've used GOG plenty of times before, and earlier this month, too. One time they did contact me to check the payments to GOG were valid, due to the small values, but that was all. Could the message be due to GOG's end this time, what with limited sales? Might I have missed it (it was selling very fast) and that caused the error?
Managed to get Tropico 3, Two Worlds 2: Epic Edition, and Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller. Never heard of the latter 2. Strategy was just to click the middle mouse wheel button on the Buy Now button as soon as a free game came up. About 10 new tabs open, at least one of them resulted in an email with "Your Order Summary"

Well, they did write 101 games, not 101 deals.
I already mentioned I don't like this sale, but I'd like to clarify. I think this sale is kind of tacky and very stressful. Please, PLEASE never do this again. It has soured my love for GOG a little bit. You didn't even have the decency to let your loyal customers know enough in advance to plan for it, but worse is the twitch purchasing. I'm like some others. I'd like a chance to think about if I want it or not. Also, several times, I clicked as fast as I could on the free games with my mouse over the button. Through polling software, I can routinely get under 250ms on a crap membrane keyboard, and I was too slow to get one. I also missed the first 7 non-free games, mostly because I kept getting the bear. Even though I stuck with it for a while and managed to finally get a few games, this sale got my juices flowing in a bad way. Instead of getting excited, it made me angry, and I'm normally a pretty mellow guy.

Also, like others, I do appreciate you trying different methods for sales. Most in the past worked out. I guess it was time for a dud.

Great idea in concept, terrible in execution.
The sale is for 101 games. It means distinct games.
We are into overtime it seems.
The popularity of this particular gambit is proving to be a downfall for me - can't click through fast enough because of time outs/502 errors. Lost a chance ag Cognition because of a 502 error and the 'limited' supply of games goes by so fast on games I would want that I don't have time to buy them.

Ah well, nice idea (if a little flawed due to its popularity overwhelming the servers it seems), but I am out. Not really a fan of sitting staring at a web page hoping for a chance on a good deal for a game I want or an infetismal chance at a free game.
They said 101 games, not 101 offers/deals.
Brutal Legend. Yes, get it.
i saw a free game... and clicked, it was gone...

sunshinecorp: Heretic!
Nah, I have to agree. Maybe it's because I'm a hardcore fan of brawlers but the game for me didn't run smoothly enough even on my PC, which should have no problems with it, so it's clearly the game's technical limitations.

I never could enjoy it.
