Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Minmataro: OMG i think Sacred was like the fastest selling game on the whole damn thing... that was crazy.
No. I do believe NWN 2 holds that record. I may be wrong but the first day of the sale when I bought it they put up 1500 copies and it was sold out before I finished the transaction.
Last Story is also amazing. Another Hironobu Sakaguchi masterpiece.
I'm getting -real- tired of this, GOG. -Real- tired. Over 3 days I've only been able to get 2 games on my list. Why? Because I only saw them during this final chance. Why? Because you keep on having silly amounts of games that nobody wants/already has. As such, it's taking anywhere from 2 to 4.5 hours to sell off the stock. It's a little irritating to say the least.

Dreadjaws: What's the deal with Dark Eye? The reviews are really mixed, but the score overall is pretty good.
There are a few really negative reviews, but they are masterfully written. I really like the literary style and articulation of some of those negative reviews.

MGShogun: Someone told me that this game is popular among the Europeans but I dunno. I don't have any clues, really.
It is a good game. If you like atmospheric point'n click adventures, I would be it (I actually did).
Well I want to thank Hotline Miami for allowing to look good for my wife; raked the leaves, installed new kitchen lights, ate dinner, watched a movie with her, and had a good conversation with her. Thanks you HM...

It sold 1500 copies in 3min (under).

next two times it was far slower. this last time, 2100 copies, about 23 minutes.
Guys, don't give up! :DDD

I have a faith and reason in you guys!
Anyone have a spare Don't Starve key?
It's mostly the only one i was waiting for, and missed the freebie... :-(
nice sale still going on. Was able to get alot of important stuff done with the Hotline Miami lull.....and didn't seem to miss too much since 10 or so hours ago.

istudedinre: Dark Eye is the German equivalent to D&D.
That's fine and dandy, but this is a point & click adventure game. It doesn't play like D&D. I'm more interested to know what the actual game is like. It looks gorgeous, I give you that, but there are several complaints about the characters and story, which are usually very important in adventure games.

smoother: NWN2 was crazy! glad I got one :)

HunterZ: Last Chance NWN2 was nowhere near as fast as Sacred just was. I had plenty of time to thing about whether I wanted NWN2 and then buy it, but Sacred I only had time to think about lol.
You had more time to decide for NWN2 because it was selling more than 2000 copies.
I'm vouching for Chains of Satinav. Not too difficult, not too easy. Some stunning artwork. You might see some framerate issues here and there, but no big deal. Lots of great dialogue bits here and there when trying things that won't actually solve a puzzle.

Which while 20 minutes longer, considering how long 200 copies can take...still damn good.
