Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Blazz17: Went to a market and I kid you not I saw the following, NWN1-2, tropico 3 gold, C&C red alert 1-2 and shadow man 1-2. i had no money :(
avatar
Shendue: These aren't rare findings, actually. Pretty easy to see them at a market. The hardest to find is probably NWN, tho it's still pretty common.
where I live, its rare to find anything that isn't console.

Faeja_Vu: Well to be fair, I haven't experienced any of the thief games yet, so I wont have the fond memories from years past nagging at me while playing number 4. Besides, from what I have seen, it still looks like a game I would enjoy simply for the game-play. I love being all ninja-ninja sneaky like. :D

CorranHorn: Have you played Splinter Cell or Hitman?
I played a demo of Splinter Cell, loved it to death. It's sitting on my wishlist waiting for a sale since I discovered it on GOG. Hitman on the other hand I have not, though it too (the second one that is) is on my wishlist actually.

Shendue: Happy Birthday then. Check your PMs.

Soccorro: Thank you so much man! :D
You are welcome. I crowdfunded both Wasteland 2 and Torment TON, so i had 2 free keys. The first one i redeemed here on GOG, the other one i chose to get a Steam key. Maybe i should have got a second GOG key instead. Whatever, enjoy it.
How long will this one take? My guess is 100min

CorranHorn: Read a lot about Thief 2, yes this is the one to get, just don´t expect Thief (4) to be that good, everything I´ve seen from it making me feel that this will be a beautiful game but way to easy even on the hard setting, many have tried to combine modern gaming with "old school" trying to make a game that would appeal to both the gamers who loved the old series and the ones who never played them, few (if any) have managed to do this.

Better start with the first Thief. It's an amazing game on its own and the plot is connected to Thief 2. The only difference with Thief 2 is the second part is more polished and has almost no zombies.

Infin8ty: Hitman really isn't that great in my opinion. I feel really constrained in the ways I can win.
Are you talking about the new one or the old one (Agent 47)?

The firs Hitman is very hard, Hitman 2 is good but the best one must be Blood Money=).
First Splinter Cell is also a good game and the second was even better but many have said the third one is the best of them all, only played the demo but based only by that I can see why they think so. Can´t play the games on my computer, once again it seems to be due to DRM even though I thought I got a copy that didn´t have this plague (Starforce) but I will play it ASAP.

You can find those for cheap on ebay, or gaming forums, anyway.
