Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Shendue: Is Nexus any good? I like space sims, but i'm not much into RTS games. Not that i dislike strategy games at all, but i prefer turn-based ones since i'd rather think about my moves then button mash like an obsessed freak while trying to quickly switch between my base and my troops, which is totally unfun to me.
I haven't played it in a bit, so please forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99% sure you can pause it. When the game REALLY gets going, with a lot of CPU players, this is almost necessary even on easier difficulties, just because of how much stuff you have to micromanage. Now, I personally LOVE the game. It's got awesome graphics and is one of the best games based in space - imho. The matches can get really epic when you start involving multiple solar systems.

Soccorro: Nope whats it like?

CorranHorn: Trying to come up with a similar game but it´s not easy, you play it like Myst but it takes place on a ship that is having critical failure, your first job is to fix a leakage, The game has the actor from Star Trek, mr Worf.

It´s really good but very hard to get, came on 4 CD´s and I almost finished it but then I forgot about it and now I don´t have any saves for it=).

Here´s a Youtube link from the beginning of the game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvm5EPUH_I8
looks cool, has anyone added it to the wishlist?
Oh dear! Still going? Makes me realise how lucky I was that the 3 games I wanted in the third round came up on Friday my time (now Sunday).

I hope this thing is over by Christmas.

So the experience is different from the usual "Make base, make base units, harvest resources, make infantry, upgrade, harvest more, send couple people exploring, upgrade, harvest more, make more units, upgrade more, rinse and repeat until you either alpha strike or get raped by the opponent" RTS thing that i find so boring?

Someone even made a thread asking for it=) here http://www.gog.com/forum/general/where_is_mission_critical

I asked a bit ago, but I don't think it was noticed, so I thought I'd try again.. :)

If I could only pick one of the original Thief games to play before playing Thief 4 (cause it looks just awesome, plus I love sneaky game-play), which would you guys recommend? I probably wont try to get it with this sale, but I would definitely add it to my wish list. Thanks. ^^
AAND!!! It's my Birthday! Oh god no... 21 years... ugh i feel old now -.- I don't even want the triple chocolate cake i get every year. All those 21 candles, duh...

I think many of us should. Not just because we're old, though ;) Still, Happy Birthday.

Matteo: i don't have it. Andi don't know if i will buy it... I might buy it JUST for the next game to come in.

Shendue: E' un gran gioco, te lo consiglio vivamente. L'unico possibile difetto è la difficoltà, visto che è discretamente ostico.

ENG: It's a great game, i strongly suggest it. The only possible defect is difficulty, since it's moderately hard.
Aaaaarrrggh... I like dfficult game... they re fun... Mhhhh missà che lo prendo... i ll take it! damnnnnn...

Thief 2 - I love the steampunk settings and the brilliant level design.
If you keep refreshing the page you can make the counter look like it's selling fast... Yep I've been here too long
