Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

TheRealJayDee: I think I left at Leisure Suit Larry - what's been going on since then? ^^

jackster79: In the forums? That is a loaded question! :-D
Urm, I'd settle for "what's been going on in the sale"! :D
So Inkaenesitor, eh? How is it?

Ungunbu: ok then
when you said "bad italian" i tought you were somehow trying to insult us

Faenwulf: Naa, don't worry.
I really don't care in which country a person is born. Human is Human and Asshole is Asshole. Has nothing to do with ethnicity or such.
that's the point --- let's live in peace LOL

wanderlust76: Wow I disagree Divine Divinity is a decent game. A lot of people don't like it because you can walk out of the starting town and get owned. It's too hard for some people.

Buenro-games: I agree with you. Divine Divinity was such a gorgeous game, the visuals were very nice and ambience as well. What brought it down, rightfully, was its lack of personality. The hero was too generic, had no real charisma and neither did the story have any gravitas. Kind of like what happens with TOEE. But I really loved the look and feel of that game. Divine Divinity 2, I want to give it a try again, since I didn't even leave the starting dungeon and tore the disk out of the drive.
Just curious: Are you referring to Beyond Divinity (which was the 2nd game in the franchise), or the actual Divine Divinity 2 game, and what got you so frustrated that you tore the disk?
The last four games I've purchased were all impulse buys, and I gifted them to myself so I have codes to trade. I'm likely to keep them all, but I DO have one that is up for grabs if I can't get Jade Empire or Nexus. And that's System Shock 2.

So, if you missed out on SS2, hang in there and we can possibly trade. Or I'll be giving it away to some lucky sod here in these lovely forums.

Now run away before I taunt you a second time!

EX-Deimon: Holy crap, didn't even know BG2 Enhanced Edition got released yesterday! Time for me to finish up the rest of BGE then!
How does it compare to the Totu, is it worth getting if you have all games and can use that mod?

Chevette: In my opinion it's better to get the original here and mod it up with the widescreen patch and such. At least, it was that way with BG 1. Cheaper too.

northern7: well, i am playing through the enhanced edition of BG1 and must admit, i like it better - if nothing else, i like the ability to zoom in the screen.
...the new BGII enhanced edition is too expensive atm.
Ditto. Just slightly wish I hadn't maxed my chara in The Black Pits. ATM I'm in Durlag's Tower.

Beyond with the black knight

Edit: the frustration set in with the non descript dungeon I started that seemed to last forever. Just couldn't deal with it since bored me to tears. In fact, I didn't know if there was even an outside until i read reviews later.

Devoidless: I thought there were mods that already did that? Maybe not. Regardless, I personally find it super hard to throw down that much dosh for a game that I already own. I know they added some knew things (mainly bugs), but not enough to command that price.
I'm more than happy with my modded BG games and TuTu.
ya, i own the originals too, but got BGI EE somewhere on the cheap (can't remember where(?)). Even own the disks and have a digital copy of BGII from here...but still interest in the EE for it - just not at $25.

Xabyer_B: Divine Divinity does not have anything to envy to Inquisitor.
What exactly do you mean? That Divine Divinity is at least as good, at least as bad, better, or worse?
