Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

CharlesGrey: Been away from the computer for a pretty long time; I'm surprised the promo is even still on.

At this point I'm mostly looking for a few more specific titles. Could anyone here please let me know if any of these games have yet to be featured for the third and final time?

Psychonauts

Giana Sisters ( main game )

La Mulana

Beyond Good and Evil

Thanks! If I missed them all, it's no big deal, since I already grabbed several games earlier ( never got a freebie, though :P ).
none of those have gone for their last chance yet.

gscotti: *snip*

Faenwulf: Good to read that. Was about to give in for a game full of torture.
(Yeah, that sounds...crazy...)
Sounds more like self-torture.

Or was that what you meant?
avatar
MysterD: Oh, man...Dark Souls: PTD is brutal.
Awesome game, though - even though I'm terrible at it.

Made me way to Sen's Fortress.
avatar
CorranHorn: If you like Demon Souls/Dark Souls then take a look at Severence (the game that clearly inspired Demon Souls), played the demo so many times and when I finally came to the boss he killed me with one bloody strike, tried to beat him but gave up. Another game I need to play when I have the time to do so=).
Is Severence titled as just Blade of darkness? because thats also made by codemasters and kind of looks like a retro dark souls. Maybe its the same game they just changed the name? also released same year.

Yarilo: I'm pretty sure it did...

KMJX: Well, let's check...

gogbot: All those titles should still be coming up,

See the list here. Reposted as games are offered.

If you're that interested in Psychonauts (which I absolutely agree with) you can also buy it on the GOG PC+Mac Mix Max Weekend Promo for $4/€2-3-ish.

groze: I honestly get a bit sad at all the people raging because they missed one or two titles, as if those are the only games worth buying on GOG... they do have an ever-growing catalog of titles, both old and new, plus they have sales and promos every single weekend (spanning three days, actually), so I'm guessing there are other games that might interest all you guys complaining about this and dissing GOG like you were just spoiled brats throwing a tantrum.

Plus, Christmas sale is coming soon, I'm guessing an average of 75% discounts on pretty much every title, so, just enjoy the wonderful community we have here, have a few laughs and build a wishlist with all the amazing games GOG has to offer.
avatar
Chevette: I think the problem is some people have waited for days to pick up those titles on this sale and they've missed them, so it's really disappointing. I haven't seen anyone raging about it, other than those who rage at not being one of the lucky clickers for a free game, that is.

A nice side benefit of waiting so long for these games to come up is this wonderful community, though!
Agreed. Didn't even know this site HAD a forum before the other day. :-)
You're talking about Inquisitor as I'm picking which book on the Knights Templar is least dubious and contains actual historical knowledge.

That is to say I might be biased towards the game because the Brotherhood of the Righteous are the Knights Templar. I got Lionheart for the same reason.

My character is basically Vormav Tengille... a Templar possessed by demons. Demon magic is FUN.
speaking of BGII - a somewhat updated commercial version was just released yesterday.

EX-Deimon: None have appeared yet!
Are you sure? Wow. So the promo will still be on for some time? I guess that means I'll be glued to the screen yet again, for a chance to grab some of those games. :P
avatar
Thruggsen: Well, what do you expect from the Inquisition?

Faenwulf: Red clothes and incompetence...?
Fluffy pillows.

I missed NWN2 Complete..Ah well, maybe if it goes on sale in the future, I might get it. I am really bummed out after waiting days...

Yes the full name is Severence : Blade Of Darkness=). Not made by Codemasters but published by them, I think it was developed by a studio from Spain

Ungunbu: it finally became "yellow-ish" --- we move toward the end
I see the color more of an orange/yellow.

Partly, yes.
Just like it is with Dark Souls.
