Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Schemilix: Too much info here but meat-eater shit smells worse than veggie shit to me, and vice versa. I'm gonna come out and say beans don't make you all that gassy, surprisingly.
You have a strange hobby, son.

MysterD: I'm only missing NWN2: Mysteries of Westgate.

For those who played it - how's Westgate?
I loved it, even if my first reaction was "I want to kill everyone in this party".
The greatest obstacle to the enjoyment of MoW is you.
If you try to manipulate your party like you would do in a modern RPG, you will not be happy.
This is a game where it's really important that you take the decisions *you* want and not to please your party member.

Velgor: No, you're definitely NOT alone! :)

Uzur9: Same here (:
It's a quite common disease because of so many good games around and so many sales, combined with the hope of one day getting to play those good games. I'm infected.

And the people infecting us are gaming companies. Apparantely they make more money selling games for absurdly low prices so that a lot of people buy it who never get round to playing games, than making the price so high, you only buy games one at the time when you actually are going to play it immediately as you've just finished the last one.

Digital distribution worsened this phenomenon, but even in the trashbin days of 3 games for €5,- I often bought games that I quiet quickly after installing than abandoning them for falling short of expectations.

I guess things must be different for console games where €35,- for a game is a 'huge discount'.
now it's time for Inquisitor... sadly I hope it does better than round 2 when I bought my copy just help get things moving! bah 600 of them to sell too... oh good grief!

Fictionvision: Common Planescape! I have the game already but I want to give one out for christmas.
Thank you so much dear! That would be appreciated! ;)

Faenwulf: Inquisition? Looks like an Indie-Diablo.
It's actually not very Diablo-y. Give it a look see. The soundtrack's great and they put some real care into the story, but it can be very difficult and a bit tedious.

This coming from someone who plays Vagrant Story.

stellathestud10: I grabbed it on sale on Steam a while back. I've only played about a third of it, but so far it's been excellent. Nice controls (with a gamepad), gorgeous artwork. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that likes platformers.
avatar
gscotti: I like those rare platformers where I can adjust the skill level to low (I suck, I'm slow).
Also, my PC is not the fastest, how demanding is the game, graphics and CPU wise?
It's not too demanding. I can't say exactly as I'm running a fairly beefy system (Haswell Quad-core, Radeon 7850 graphics, 8 GB RAM), but it didn't seem too bad in that regard. There's also an easy mode for it that makes it considerably less of a grind to get through.
Gotta buy Inquisitor, If ya dont support devs trying to bring back old sub-genres then they will stop making them.

Then all we will be left with is CoD...

Talking about too much info...yeah....^^
I'm an atheist and inquisitor sounds and looks awesome!... I was holding out for Thief 3.... damn choices! >:0 How can I decide?
Bears don't dig on dancing.
600 Inquisitor???, Really?. I have the game, It likes me, but this is too much.

This will never end.

Schemilix:
Woop! Flying V's represent!

But yah, looks like it's lunch break for me. Inquisitor is awesome, I loved it to death, and I really hope the sequel does get made, but it is not exactly what one would call a crowd pleaser.

Which is why I don't get how it sold this many copies already, but still looks like... a break?

Schemilix: I'm a feeble Southerner, born and bred.

Carl13: Ohhh dear.

Joking :)

I'm Northern o'course :)

And it's getting pretty bitter in England atm, especially when I live in a basement flat in Leeds and refuse to put the heating on haha :')
Leeds, Northern?

I thought anywhere south of Middlesbrough was down south.
Well, wasn't expecting Inquisitor. Might pick it up if it's still here when I get back from running errands!
