Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Buenro-games: The witcher is 10gigs I believe.

Faenwulf: Possibly. But Witcher 1 is already on my PC and Witcher 2 will probably not run on my machine.
But I need it so I can play it on my next PC. Whenever I will buy that. :D
I did the exact same thing during a summer promo for the Witcher here. Bought the second one as well, but I don't really have a machine that can handle it. :D

kklsid: How about some Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete do ease the wait.

Nicked that one, makes for some happy family evenings, thank you!

Schemilix: Oh woe, an arbitrary number attached to me since yesterday is going to decrease!

DubConqueror: Actually it's best to look at it like that, just an arbitrary number. There's also the symbolism behind the word 'reputation' of feeling respected. Would be best however to just ignore the whole thing. Once people use the system not to show their like, but make a competitve game of it in which you can turn against someone, the best thing to do is step above the childishness of the system and ignore (though I'm not implying it's childish if you feel crossed by downrepping - it's a natural human emotion - as social animals we are [i[born[/i] to care about reputation).
Fair enough. I should've clarified that I mean this bot that's being threatened would be totally arbitrary and mean absolutely nothing at all. Reputation has only the value others place in it after all. Wrecking the entire system renders is worthless even in the symbolic.

mkell_226: What came between RCR and U7?

mrking58: grim fandango
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DubConqueror: There's something wrong with Tales, any kind of Tales, Tales last long. Remember the Book of Unwritten Tales half a day ago?

Bonshea: Heaven help us if the next game in the Jack Keane series is titled in such a manner.
The last one was Fire Within, so this could be Jack Keane 3: A Cold Day in Keangland, right?

tobias683: Part of the reason you may be getting downvoted is because I do believe it is against the forum rules to talk about hacking with the exception of saying something along the lines of "OMG such and such server got hacked and peoples info was stolen!" So basically any talk of hacking other than PSA's is against forum rules from my understanding.

I haven't downvoted you or anyone. Just an FYI.

Ungunbu: i didn't know it was against the rules

anyway i only stated it's possible --- didn't say how do to that
and i'm not doing that also!

thanks anyway to make me notice that
no problem. I only know that because today was the first time I posted on the forums and I got curious about the rep thing when I went from 0 to 1 and had no idea why so I checked under the FAQ.
You guys(gals even? Maybe not not girls on the internet :p ) know what's awesome?

The way you are saying these things leads to them coming off as a threat. Just stop talking about scripts and bots and don't ask for points. Those seem to be the main things people give ' - ' for.
Just to clarify, I did mean that a bot would render the entire thing totally useless. I'm aware that it's a representation of what others think of you and some people put more or less stock in that, but it is easily exploited and once exploited, pointless.
Monkey Island is in its last breaths.
Come on people, buy it! ;)
