Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

gscotti: RCR took almost exactly 8 hours to move 600 copies. Let that be written down in the protocol.

amagarr: 600 copies is money, eh I would like to make that in only eight hours.
Yep, $2,244 gross. ($3.74 x 600) If RCR could make that every day, they'd be earning over $800,000 per year. But who knows, maybe at the regular price they're doing that or even better.
Wit hthis rate, I'm going to die before I get Witcher 2 and Aquanox 1....

chet412: I think we should have a new name for the two slowest moving games. Keane City Rampage sounds about right.
Perfect.
Keane City - where the guys look like Happy Days rejects, the women look like they have tumors growing out of their noses, and hope goes to die from a heroin overdose in a filthy truck stop bathroom.
No wonder people go on rampages there.

Heretic! The Keaning IS forever!

Minmataro: Honestly if you really want that classic XCOM turn based strategy gameplay stick to the originals or the new firaxis games. However if you dont mind a spin off set in the same universe the Bureau is quite fun.

I know a lot of people simply hate it because it uses the Xcom name even though is just a shooter.

Daz12380: i was bidding on it on ebay 8 euro it went for i didnt win :(
I use this site a lot for Steam game keys. No worries its safe just use paypal ive personally purchases over a dozen games off this site alone.

Bureau is insanely cheap. I also got Batman Origins for 17 bucks a week after release on this site.

The long wait on Anvil of Dawn will give me time to establish my next Kickstarter project:

Drag On Commander: The Keane CIty Rampage of Eador (with full DLC)

I'll let you all know when you can chip in.

Sounds like something that I'd invest a hell lot of my money on. Colour me interested, chap.
They might have been using it to sell items in their catalogue that never would have sold. RCR sold poorly in the first place.

dedoporno: You are forgetting another lurking horror - Omerta has yet to make its last appearance...
I'll deal with that one when it rears its ugly head.
Anyway, here's another Witcher key to sharpen up those ninja skills while we wait for Dawn (quite literally for some I guess):

Sigh, Anvil of Keane.. I bet Jade Empire will come when I´m eating or studying... or if things keep the pace, next week I will able to get it!

Deva: They should have all the games priced at $1.49. They seem to sell faster than the higher priced games. Or better yet, go the 'app' route and sell everything for 99 cents. Bet they could sell thousands of each game pretty quickly from all the impulse buyers at that price.
avatar
EX-Deimon: Also doesn't help when they sell them in really high quantities. They've been bought in previous rounds. Games that do seem to sell in high quantities are the BioWare games, Obsidian and System Shock 2
Yes, but not all of us could be here the first couple of days during the previous rounds, because of work. ;) This is the first night I've spent some time (between exercising and doing some programming) watching what's going on in this sale.

Seriously, it's more likely that at the regular price RCR is doing nil, these days.
