Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

dedoporno: There is "Redeem gift" link on the bottom left corner of the page. It also can be a Steam key (looks like one). You can forget about it though, since it has been taken seconds after it was posted. There people here who are very skilled in the art of snatching codes in an instant.

Daz12380: im waiting for that to do down in price the main game im mostly wanting to get at the moment is sstarcraft 2 wol and hots. Does anyone know if blizzard will put it on sale over xmas?

Minmataro: Honestly if you really want that classic XCOM turn based strategy gameplay stick to the originals or the new firaxis games. However if you dont mind a spin off set in the same universe the Bureau is quite fun.

I know a lot of people simply hate it because it uses the Xcom name even though is just a shooter.
This.
Ya'll should check out Spooney's "Betrayal" vid lol.

gscotti: RCR took almost exactly 8 hours to move 600 copies. Let that be written down in the protocol.
600 copies is money, eh I would like to make that in only eight hours.

Deva: They should have all the games priced at $1.49. They seem to sell faster than the higher priced games. Or better yet, go the 'app' route and sell everything for 99 cents. Bet they could sell thousands of each game pretty quickly from all the impulse buyers at that price.
Also doesn't help when they sell them in really high quantities. They've been bought in previous rounds. Games that do seem to sell in high quantities are the BioWare games, Obsidian and System Shock 2

People hate The Bureau?! They must have never played X-Com: Enforcer! ;)
How can you tell when the projections and actual demand aren't close? When a game is a frigging buck fifty and still sits there.

I think we should have a new name for the two slowest moving games. Keane City Rampage sounds about right.

Keane Jack City?
Okay guys, this is getting ridiculous, it's not much of a "limited stock fire sale" when people are aching and clamoring for that stock to up and end already.

Also, I'm sure someone has asked this before in one of the hundreds of pages preceding this but, when will this end? It said 101 games, but aren't we past that number already? Even not counting the repeats I mean.

Lastly, I only have two games on my wishlist, I didn't expect to see Long Live the Queen since it's so new, but I don't think I've ever seen Red Baron in a sale since the moment I joined, so GOG, if you're hoping to really spruce up this sale, I've left you a tip, just saying.

I think they did they right move when they changed the game to what it is now instead of what they where showing before (back then it looked like any other FPS).

Damn that reminds me of Brothers In Arms, must play that one again and this time finish it=).
I was hoping this would be moving quickly...I have things to do but I am addicted to waiting for Jade Empire...

You are forgetting another lurking horror - Omerta has yet to make its last appearance...

It ends once all the 101 games are done. This is just the final round, hence why you see "Last Chance" underneath. Dunno how many games remain though....lost count. There is a list somewhere here though.

Thanks, great work keeping track of the sales - I wasn't around for more than 10 hours but I see I didn't really miss much :-)
