Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

astraldemon: I'm sorry but I don't see your point here?
I like to play other games, games that are not on GoG so it's wrong if I buy it on cheapest place I can find? And I had US VPS anyway because of my work...

nijuu: Regional pricing/locking is one of the downsides of Steam. Average user doesn't know how to use let alone know VPN's exist and you shouldnt really have to use one to buy a game for a fair price (Us Aussies get ripoffed more than most not only Steam but EA etc)
Well I know about it but what we can do... it's their servers and services, we can like it or don't like it, buy it or not, no1 is forcing us. But still, it's a lot cheaper to buy games on special offers then to buy physical copy, and you don't need to be afraid you'll scratch it or lose it.

And things like that are everywhere... For example I wanted to buy one graphic tablet, in US it costs 550$, and in Eu it's 670€... so not only that initial number is greater, but 1€ is about 1.35$...

gscotti: It's a bit funny you went out of your way to reward a bullsh#t DRM scheme by giving Steam your money. When I see regional/country-based pricing differentiation implemented using DRM, I become livid. No, scrap that, I'm becoming Hulk and I smash.

Hey, I just noticed you're in Croatia. I was born there but left it in January of 1999. So how have things changed since Croatia joined the EU? Did many young people leave for the EU? Back in 1998-1999 when I left, it was really hard, but now that your (our? I don't feel Croatian much) country joined the EU, labor mobility should be much easier.

trusteft: These delays can't be THAT good for the image of said games.

Perhaps a timer should exist instead of waiting for the slow slow sweet death of a particular sale.
The thing is, the limited copies thing is the gimmick of this particular sale. There's a normal sale for you too.
Not sure whats worse, the horrible puns/massive sarcasm or the fact that i cant stop laughing
I was skimming through some of the Jack Kean reviews and thought I would share one that I think is funny.

Title: Ambrosia

My vision was bad, I had aches and pains, and my skin wasn't that great. Because of this game, I am not only free of all of those problems, but I have also grown beyond human limitations. Now I can float above the clouds and look beyond the beautiful horizon. All that was ugly is now so pretty, I can cry.
The game itself- it is indescribable. I simply have no words. I am lost when I think of it....

You are obviously a sick, twisted and deranged individual...
Games are just generally way more expensive in the EU. Like, one time I was on holiday in Ireland a few months back, and I saw Resistance 2 for the PS3 brand new at Tesco for €50....FUCKING €50!!! I bought that game £2.50 pre-owned. Serious, the EU just gets the shit end of the stick when it comes to gaming. Takes the piss.
Just woke up to retro ciry rampage. Been waiting for that one. Thats one less you all to wait on.
Just enough copies of RCR to go make some breakfast and get back for the next item up for sale....

And some people have the gall to wonder why piracy still exists. Hard to miss a factor like "Hey, the game companies are reaming me silly just because I live in another country".

I made lunch. 4 rashers of bacon, half a dozen mushrooms, 4 onion rings and a fried egg.

In a sandwich :)

Well I didn't want to eat anything unhealthy so I had it in brown bread :)
Less than 30 copies left.... people better hurry and buy now, or lose out forever... or until one of the next sales, anyway.
