Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

patrickjarvi: After a little Googling it appears there already was a Keane movie, so a new movie would need to be a sequel, a "Keane 2" if you will. Here's the plot synopsis from the 1st film:

"A man in his early 30s (Keane) struggles with the supposed loss of his daughter from port authority bus terminal in New York, while fighting serious battles with schizophrenia. We can never be sure if the loss is real or imaginary; or whether his overt interest in helping young girls is innocent and of a fatherly nature, or is of a darker, scarier motive."

Chevette: Now it seems even creepier to have Busty 1 and Busty 2 on the cover of the game....
I smell some Oedipus situations possibly happening.
Next year, I would like it if this promo changed it's name to "Keane-Free fall insomnia sale".

tobias683: So it's no longer a measurement but a quantum property?

stan423321: Well, not really. It measures both space and time. In fact, it measures spacetime. But it doesn't end there! It ends with a German word covering spacetime, fine arts, magnetic charge, sweaty socks, density of carp in bottled water, and probability of GOG buying out Nintendo.
ROFL!

shadowknight2814: I didn't hate the sequel, but I didn't really like it either. At times it devolved into conventional action schlock (ditching the lightcycles for regular vehicles, convention explosives, fast aerial vehicles), and it lacked the subtle of Tron. Tron did have a theme on religious persecution, which was an analog to Jewish persecution. It wasn't subtle, but it didn't rub it in your face either. The sequel kept bashing you over the head with it's theme of perfection. It also lacked the grace and beauty of the visuals of the original. Again, it wasn't bad, it just didn't have the same ambition as the original.

ALH: I hear ya.But on the other hand Tron Legacy is a very expensive film and compared to some of the other "Summer Blockbusters" it comes across as pretty smart and not too mainstream.I think they tried to find a middle ground.I do like that they brough Bridges back and did make somewhat of a sequel and not flatout remake.
I will give it this; it did make Tron "cool" to modern audiences. I've lost track of how many cosplays I've seen, GOOD ONES http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/06/this-tron-prom-dress-exis_n_2631721.html, based on the uniform designs of the sequel. Before this, the best you'd find is this guy: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/tron-guy

I second that!
Still can't believe I survived Keane. However, I will never be the same. : /

Navanod66: I think the promo is losing steam after so many rounds...
I was thinking the same.... doing this for a day or two is a nice experiment... but after awhile, the novelty of it will likely wear off for some. I wasn't able to watch much due to work for the first couple days, so I'm just curious to see how it's still going at this point.

Actually, quite the opposite: Shadow Man was MUCH slower earlier. I am surprised how fast (relatively) it is selling, now.

Yup.Especially at 250 this round i thought it would take much longer. But GOG guesstimated this one pretty good.

I think GOG may have a closet sadist working for them...
what did I miss after Don't Starve?

Heh. Those were actually commands in some ancient version of BASIC I vaguely remember using. TRON and TROFF. Trace On, Trace Off. Made it print all the line-numbers on-screen as it executed them, for bug-hunting. (Damn, I'm old) Now I'm wondering which came first, TRON the movie or TRON the programming command...?

smoother: what did I miss after Don't Starve?
You haven't missed it! We're still stuck on Shadow Man, which is what came after DS.
All the Keane trauma victims need to always remember that you can talk about this....don't shut it away, it will destroy you.Dark days ahead, we need to be there for each other.
