Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Fictionvision: Considering how fast Shadow Man is going (Who btw isn't the real Shadow Man, he came in the Mega Man game after my avatar) I would like someone to help me make a decision and pick a number, either 1 or 2.

I wonder if people aren't just kind of burned out by now. I suspect that sales are all going to be pretty slow from here on out, aside from the major stars like Planescape.
Well, time to get the pot of coffee going. Looks like it's my shift to watch for the next deals.

Deva: Wasn't Shadow Man on the Dreamcast? I seem to recall playing it on that.... but too many games over the decades is clouding my memory...
It was on the N64 (with hi-res support if you had the 'expansion pak') and there was also a technically deficient PS1 port.

The game had some nice plot themes, but suffers from atrocious level design and the worst sound effect ever to appear in a video game. Since this sound is Shadowman's only gun, you'll hear it every 3 seconds and want to kill yourself.

I'm not kidding. I had to play the entire game with the sound off... and the only reason I beat it was because I'd foolishly paid £30 for it based on a review in N64 Magazine and felt obliged to finish it.

Faeja_Vu: Random thought... What do you suppose it'd take to make a Keanception?
Not possible. It would require ALL the internets working cooperatively at once.

Yarilo: It was multi-console, but yes it was on the Dreamcast.
Okay thanks... as the Dreamcast died, I bought 2 more for $50 each... which was good, since my original finally quit working... on the second one now, hopefully it and the third one will live longer than me. (Although now that I reread that, that's an odd wish...)

RandomJC: So...can you get me his Autograph, or is he dead? Cause if he's dead, I'll just take a broken off limb, or a finger or something. Whatever will break off easiest.

Khaleesia87: Nah he is still alive....it's hard to get rid of him just like those games in the promo.

He is like 500years old atm, but looks like he got some kind of eternal life potion...

He thinks to be a celebrity and if I ask an autograph for you he will surely start to act like "OMG I'm so awesome ppl can't resist me" soooooooooooooo I will make him sign some fake documents or something and then I will send you the paper with his sign, is that ok? =P
Works for me. I make me a mint on those things on Ebay.

tobias683: So it's no longer a measurement but a quantum property?
All the measuring in Keanes reminds me of South Park measuring turd sizes in Courics

It's too horrible to contemplate, but... what if we are stuck in a Keanception right now and just don't realize it? GIVE ME THE KICK!

Uhhh... special relativity has (at this point, at least) nothing whatsoever to do with quantum physics.

tobias683: So it's no longer a measurement but a quantum property?
Well, not really. It measures both space and time. In fact, it measures spacetime. But it doesn't end there! It ends with a German word covering spacetime, fine arts, magnetic charge, sweaty socks, density of carp in bottled water, and probability of GOG buying out Nintendo.

The older classics and a handful of indies are the best sellers
