Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

YaTEdiGo: S.... I wanted Assassin´s Creed and Rayman Origins, but I was sleeping -_-
Don't worry, you still have a chance at those games. They haven't been cycled through yet this last round.

How long you'll need to wait, though, is anyone's guess. At this rate we may be looking at more than hours...

Wowoet: Did La Mulana already went by this third time?
Not yet

BillyMaysFan59: So no Incredible Machine...it's a shame because I tried the demo and it's quite fun
Played Cut The Rope (Android/ioS)?

Captain_Picard: Just wondering, how much is Don't Stare on the Humble Store, I can't access that website for some odd reason.
I am expecting it to be at the same price but I am still curious to know what it is set at over there.

Elinnea: I assume you meant Don't Starve... but Don't Stare has some intriguing possibilities. So many ways you could go with that.
Yeah, I meant that, Don't Starve should not be confused with its squeal, Don't Stare.

RighteousNixon: Between Eador, Keane and now Stave, I think the total time for those 3 games is up around 8-9 hours now. Anyone who thinks they shouldn't use a time limit is crazy. These long waits just totally kill the overall momentum and excitement of the sale. If a game doesn't sell out in 30-60 minutes, it should be axed.

jpwiseguy: Yeah, and then give the games that don't sell out a few more rounds later. All with a time limits of course.
Eventually you'll spend the same time during sales. You're just pushing the wait for later. That won't work. If every good game is sold early, as it WILL, ANYWAY, no one will be left to watch the sales, so games that don't sell that well, will sell even worse because you're effectively removing them from the race. They'd be crazy to do that. The good games in a global event will sell regardless, and that's why a company shouldn't really care. For every game you managed to get, someone on the other hemisphere is bitching for missing it, for every game that ends up stalling in your timezone, another guy somewhere is praising the gods that he didn't miss anything. And vice versa. The end.

I haven't hardly been able to participate in this entire sale because of these three games. I work twelve hour shifts so I have very little time to spend on the computer, and it seems like every time I've gotten home, I've been lucky to see more than one game on sale. Hasn't been much different than your standard gog gem promos for me. I did manage to get at least one game from my entire wish list so far (Lords of Midnight).

You forgot Rise of the Triad.

Sort off, you get to choose where to place things in TIM, Cut The Rope is easier but it do get harder pretty fast. Iiked it (played it on Google store on my PC).

Also, the makers of TIM are making a new game like it, it´s on Steam Early Access. The official site is http://contraptionmaker.com/

MGShogun: How hard is this game? What controls is being used for this game?
avatar
Akoperu: As hard as you want it to be, the difficulty is entirely customable and it is solely mouse driven at the exception of the space bar.
I really loved this game, put something like 60 hours into it :)
In fact, you can fine-tune almost any major parameter when you start a new game. That's another thing I adore about it -- there's built-in support for making things both easier and harder, even both at the same time, and there's no overt or subtle judgement of the player involved. It's quite accessible and it's also great to be able to start new games that adjust little bits of things to help you learn. Too many spiders eating you? Turn their numbers down for a few games! Not enough mysterious ground tentacles hitting you in the head? Make there be more!

How long did the Blackwell Bundle last? I forget. But a part of me is telling me it was not as bad as Rise of the Triad.
