Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Average 55ms for me. Got two freebies
Well, I've been sitting here for 2 days to get:
- NwN2
- System Shock 2
- Planescape
- Jade Empire
- Evoland (maybe)

I refuse to miss any of those.

silentp263: Does anyone know if Diablo 3 for console is worth getting compared to PC?
Apparently it's better, way better. Without the auction house they had to reintroduce proper loot drops which makes the game play much like it's predecessors. There are other changes as well but from all the reviews I've read it looks like it turned out to be the game all us PC folks were expecting. Next spring they'll update the pc version to match which should make it better and will most likely prompt a reply from me :)
ok,.. i give up,... no freebies for me! This thing about "ping" clear many questions for me at least it tells me.. i have no chance! ..so, i´m out!

next time, gog should maybe limited the freebies on any account, let say 2 or 3 copys!

I still have the lucius gift code,... should NWN2 comes as free or what ever..... remember me^^ thank you and have a good night!

Fictionvision: It has an offline mode and no auction house. That alone makes it better.

After Blizzard forcing online only for the PC one and saying recently they will never remove it, I'd only buy the game used so they don't get any direct money from me.

itchy01ca01: Not the Blizzard of my youth. Shame.
Sadly it's much more Activision now than anything Blizzard used to be back in the day. I really miss the time tho, probably because these were one of my first games ever to get really hooked up to.
Ok, cause everyone said not to buy Diablo 3 (PC), that I should play PoE or TL2 instead. Which of the two do you think are better?

Cardian: Blackwell Bundle for 3 bucks is actually a great deal. I really enjoyed the series.
Is it? I took a look at the comments and most people praise the game atmosphere and design, but also point out that the puzzles are easy and short. I've been playing adventures since the very first King's Quest, so i find most of the new ones just too easy and quick to solve.

CarrionCrow: You know what's striking me as really great about GOG right now?
No DLC.
By comparison, I went on Steam and took a look at Borderlands 2. They have DLC for everything except getting your ass hair dyed a different color, and it's absolutely infuriating for someone that wants to feel like they have a "complete" version of the game. You don't have to worry about that crap here.

Xiko91: Seriously? You can't compare GOG with Steam with a game that GOG doesn't even have like Borderlands 2. For the whole DLC thing you should complain to the developers of the game, not Steam. I bet that if GOG had Borderlands 2 they would have DLC as well.
I wasn't complaining about Steam there. That was me just bitching about the feeling of incompleteness that game has when it has so many other parts, some of them pretty integral to full enjoyment in my opinion, that you have to pay more and more and more money for. Comparatively, I don't ever buy a game from GOG and think to myself, "God, now I have to shell out X amount extra just to feel like I'm not paying for a partial experience.
Looking at the two, it's a pretty big motivator for me to be here buying these games, rather than being there and digging through all of that.

i meant in the javascript - anyway it's cheating so i won't tell u how to do that
I've been sitting here waiting for Startopia to pop up again. Figures that when I decided I wanted to buy it, it had just gone by. So now I've been sitting here through all the Keanes and shit just to spend $1.50. With my luck it'll be the last game on sale.
C´mon, it´s sold 1/3 of the 600 in 5 minutes.
If you complain this one is slow, you know nothing :P
Witcher 2 been up yet in the third round?
Dang, need to go. If somebody buys The Real Texas or Geneforge saga I can give that person the Might and Magic bundle or make me an offer.
