Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Thank God I have already BG1.
Heroes of M&M 5 was the free game.
To people whining about other people whining - relax, both of you. Enjoy an awesome promo :-)
I once actually managed to click the button for a free game, but it said "the offer is not available" or something like that. I'm glad someone managed to get a freebie, but I find it just irritating. The offer window shows for a second, and even if you manage to click in that time, it won't work anyway. I think better not offer free stuff at all, than like this.
Wow, even pay Omerta is going relatively fast
Crap. I already have Heroes V with both expansions in Polish, but no English version for me. I tried to click Buy Now, but I clicked in a wrong place. I will not pay for this.

Vestin: Well... There goes Heroes 5.

animalmother2105: What???
There were 5 copies, I think... Gone in an instant.
Omerta the game I got for free. Who knows if I will play it, I have heard a lot of great things about it.

roninnogitsune: That's only part of it. There's things like respecting the customer, and this show no respect at all, you're expected to wait for a sale that you want and then you have little to no time to make an informed decision because the deal will end soon. I found this sale more stressful than any sale I've ever done. There's many better options that have respect for customers. I use GoG because I thought they respected me, but this is a bad sign that they don't.
So respect for you is not offering sales? Then just buy the freakin games for the regular price, what's the problem? Many here enjoy this sort of competition very much
Omerta is there to give the server a chance to cool down.
This is still better than some twitter/facebook giveaways. "We'll give out 10 steam codes for game X during the next 24 hours". That's camping. Here, at least you know when you have a chance at a free game. :)
I'm surprised at the speed at which a broken game such as Omerta sells.
I hope that Heroes V comes again for 80% Off like Ultima was, lol.
Did I miss Fez?

FUCK!!!!

Me too. I'm surprised it's selling. At all.
