Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Minmataro: Anyone here ever make a "im gonna beat these games or die trying" List? I mean I've tried it but then a Steam, GOG or Humble Bundle sale happens and everything goes to hell.
I created a list a few years ago and had about 50 titles on it, so I decided to cut it down to 10 for a more realistic bucket list:

Melhelix: Thanks gogbot! Just woke up and seems the only thing I really missed was Two Worlds Two, not too shabby. :D
Good morning.. I just got up too :P

Siegor: This promo is still going?
Oh well I hope everyone gets at least a few good games they wanted and finally get some well deserved sleep :)
Missed everything I've wanted so far, they have either come up while travelling to / from work, or when I had a brief sleep :-(

zlep: I know. I've tried it. You try to get out, but it just sucks you back in... We're lost, my friend,. For us, it'll just be clicking on the buy button, until the zombie apocalypse comes, and there's nothing left but unplayed games and broken dreams...

Minmataro: HAHA!!! I swear my wife laughs at me all the time. I was about to buy assassin's creed 4 the other day and she reminded me that i still had a unfinished AC2 save on my PC.

Somethings wrong with me...
Heh heh. At least you have someone to monitor your addiction.

xenxander: chaos engine? what exactly is this game?
It's an overhead shooter that takes place in a steampunk universe. You control one of six characters (Navie, Thug, Gentleman, Mercenary and Preacher) through a world thrown into turmoil by the Chaos Engine.

It was initially available on the Amiga. Initial ports were to the Atari ST and the PC. After that it went to the consoles: Genesis/Megadrive, SNES and of course the Amiga CD 32. In North America is was renamed Soldiers Of Fortune.
The Amiga was the standard bearer with the SNES giving it a very close run for the money.

It's fairly in depth with an lite-RPG leveling system and has multiple routes that you can take which mildly affect to outcome of the game. Has a pretty cool "bumpin" techno soundtrack too.

The bitmap graphics are absolutely AMAZING and, to me, it has some of the best bitmap sprites of all time. I think it's a really fun game that has more than enough challenge to keep it interesting for the whole game. One of my top-10 games of all time.
The Keane Engine still going strong.

Infin8ty: Sleep? What is the meaning of this word?
It's what smart people do, smart because they sleep and are able to think clearly for it... :P
It looks like I may yet have a chance at Age of Wonders and The Real Texas.

Not that anyone cares, of course. I'm just trying to help get the thread to 15,000 messages. ;)

I took out a few 360 games and piled them up with every intention of playing through all of them. Nothing really came of it.

sensui73: If you need any help, I'll gladly get some of those pesky games off your backlog for you =P
Dude i have around 50 games that i played for like 10 minutes and uninstalled. I wish that Steam let me trade game keys to people i know. Such a waste tbh. also i would be stoked if my game total would come down a bit lol.

Eh, I'm a computer scientist and a hacker (as in I go to hackathons, I don't do illegal stuff). We have this magical ability to transform lack of sleep into one of two things. Playing games or ugly code that is terribly optimized but works. We are a strange species, but we love our existence.

Yay! Below 100 copies of the Keane Engine!
Did not mean to edit this... Oh well.

As a retired Information Scientist, I can relate... ;)
