Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

BTCentral: I seriously feel like I'll need a holiday to play all the games I haven't as of yet!

Minmataro: Dude i could lock myself up for 10 years and not get through my backlog on Steam, GoG and Desura... Seriously the collection starts out small and it seems harmless. Then you realize you have over 100 games, then 200 and now im at over 800 games across five digital platforms. I could skip next gen and i would be fine.
Yep, so far... 84 on Steam, 16 on GOG, maybe 20 on Origin? (can't check right now as I'm not on my PC) so I'm already over the 100 mark. I've played maybe 15-20 of them so far.
chaos engine? what exactly is this game?

Dajjer: I wanna make the 11:30 showing of Enders Game, so you folks at GOG better have Startopia up in the next 30 minutes or you are gonna get the MOTHER of ALL FROWNS. oh yeah . . .
I liked the movie a lot. Was a big fan of the books also. Have fun at that.

Dreadjaws: I remember The Chaos Engine being a really good game, why isn't it selling more? Is it a bad remake or something?
Third time through syndrome. At this point people are really waiting on the D&D and M&M games. Sure there might be some holdouts for the other games (Space Colony, pls) but the above games always sold super quick so people missed them
Anyone here ever make a "im gonna beat these games or die trying" List? I mean I've tried it but then a Steam, GOG or Humble Bundle sale happens and everything goes to hell.
Oh no.... I just realized looking through the list that we still have to deal with Omerta.... Gulp....

I guess many people just prefer to play the SNES version, i know i do. No point playing this game on the PC IMO.

LOL. "I could skip next gen..." Nah, not buying it. People with 800 games across 5 digital platforms can *not* just "skip next gen", no matter how many lifetimes they'd need to get through their backlog. And I know you've also got a stash of real-life discs and hardware, just in case a nuclear strike takes out the internet. :-D

I know. I've tried it. You try to get out, but it just sucks you back in... We're lost, my friend,. For us, it'll just be clicking on the buy button, until the zombie apocalypse comes, and there's nothing left but unplayed games and broken dreams...

Hmm. come to think of it, I really should work on my backlog. I think I'll skip next gen...
I have a spare copy of Rogue Legacy left over. Anyone have anything they want to trade for it?

When it was released it was a game that really showed what the Amiga could do, Bitmap Brothers where famous for this. I´m having problem comparing this to more modern games someone else probably knows of such a game. Insomnia is a suitable name for this damn sale=),.
Thanks gogbot! Just woke up and seems the only thing I really missed was Two Worlds Two, not too shabby. :D

HAHA!!! I swear my wife laughs at me all the time. I was about to buy assassin's creed 4 the other day and she reminded me that i still had a unfinished AC2 save on my PC.

Somethings wrong with me...
This promo is still going?
Oh well I hope everyone gets at least a few good games they wanted and finally get some well deserved sleep :)

Sleep? What is the meaning of this word?
