Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Hey, Nordic Games, I know it doesn't make up for the Keanegate, but I just bought AquaNox 2, which is also one of your titles.
Hoping Theme Hospital comes up soon, sleep in about 40 mins.

Thought I missed it when I was at work earlier but seems that there was a few games that kinda dilly dallied and added to the Insomnia.

Also about Origin few pages back and Mass Effect, I might suggest that fans of the series (such as myself ^_^ yay Shepard) should invest some time into gamecopyworld.com and get some cracked exe files.. (I got the Collectors Edition pre-ordered) I run my Mass Effect 3 without Origin all the time now. Only time I ever shudder to use it is to do the mandatory DLC check, which only needs a one-off for a new file / transferred career from Mass Effect 2.

EA really irks me, used to be glorious in the SEGA Genesis days.. but now? ... >_>;

They won the award for the worst company running second year in a row. Check out the youtube channel for AlphaOmegaSin he does a good video on it.

Beelzebubb: Its the only reason its selling
Maybe it would have worked for Jack Keane...
Aquaboobs, you know you want it.
The first time this popped up I was at work and almost jumped out of my seat due to the (apparently) NSFW image.

istudedinre: I think you're missing the point. Clean power and wattage are not the same thing. You barely need more than 450W to run most modern gaming systems, but you DO need current that has minimal variance. Many power supplies pass along drops and surges in current that reduce the performance and longevity of your entire system, as well as causing strange behavior and crashes. Clean power is critical for good computing performance.

groundhog42: I'll second this. I'm no expert, but it might pay you to check that your PSU supplies sufficient current (Amps) at the voltage your video card requires (i.e. enough for the video card and any other components on your PC that use the same voltage). Plus, if the PSU is a poor quality, and/or old, it may be unable to reliably supply the current that is stated in its specification.

Other than that, you could try rolling back to earlier driver versions.
I'll third this. I have that very card (okay, mine's a 550 Ti) and I've never had a problem with this one. Also, check to be sure there's not dust/pet fur/whatever clogging fans or heatsinks in the vicinity of the card and the power supply. Check the power supply intake and exhaust fans as well, they're important. Make sure the case is adequately cooled. If there's too much heat in the whole case, video cards are usually the first to give up. Finally, video cards are made by different companies -- nvidia is not a manufacturer -- and there are many that make nvidia cards. You may have ended up with one from a less reliable company. That's why you can often find significant price variation on a single card model.
C'mon free Geneforge, come after AquaKeane.

Just waiting for Neverwinter Nights 2.

I can't believe I bought so many RPG. I haven't really played any since the my Commodore 64 days. I played Fallout 3 and Fallout Las Vegas on my XBOX but to me those are more FPS with RPG elements. I hope most of them have automap and auto note taking, having to do that by hand was brutal in the old days.

This, I tend to stick with MSI or ASUS cards for this reason, build quality tends to be much better.

I blow out the PC once per month, dust isn't a problem

I have a 10" fan on top, two 5" fans on the side/back, and three fans inside, all arranged perfectly to promote the most optimal air flow possible (trust me I'm a total nerd when it comes to air flow in my computer, after an issue a few years back - won't get into it)
