Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

dedoporno: That's pretty much what I'm doing right now. Re-watching some old school childhood favorite cartoons.
And yes, Batman TAS is a top-tier cartoon!

xenonemo: Agreed, it was top notch in every way, especially in terms of the storytelling and voice acting. For a show marketed towards children, it was almost unparalleled in quality even back then (only Disney's Gargoyles came close to matching it). I still consider it to be one of the very best depictions, if not THE best, of the Batman universe.
x-men was good too. The original cartoon series I mean, on fox kids morning, next to spider man (which was also good).

both of these cartoon series though suck now, with new art, new voices, childish... er.. everything. *sigh*
Actually RCT3 is selling pretty fast, faster than I thought it would...

This!! To this day Batman sound like Kevin Conroy for me. Even when reading some comic or whatever. Also Mark Hammil as the Joker. Man, his laugh is just brilliant!
Looks liek TC3 is proceeding at a normal pace. And maybe i'll even buy it if it stops.
And i really hope it won't. *knocks on wooden desk*
Niceeee...RCT3 for £3...don't mind if i do

Boilpoint: Do they seem to be groups of 3 in this round?
Nah, it's all over the place. Sometimes repeat blocks happen but it could be anything. Trust me, I've been here.... too long
And after Dragon Commander, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3.

... is GOG trolling us?

They're trolling us, aren't they?

I have to admit, it's kind of funny.
Oh! And this:

Brutal Legend

Nolerion: 20% Gone already, is the Age of Keane over?
Maybe it's not just the game, but a combination with the time of day.
Will someone please tell me which games are left on the list?

Cheers.

Fezred: Yes, I think Europe got the better deal out of that. I've played both and Terranigma was a unique gem of a game. It really felt like an epic adventure while being an emotional storytelling rollercoaster and showing off the SNES at its best with some super duper art work. The combat and boss battles were excellent and the towns and town development one of the best examples of its kind on that format and many others. The musical score was perfect too. Really helped it tug at the hearstrings and get its message across.

Remember Bloody Mary? God help you if you didn't do some major levelling up for her.

Cardian: But that was also the thing I didn't like about the game. When you reached a boss you had to level to that magic level that let you do more than 1 damage. Lots of grinding involved.
I think with all RPGs that didn't hold your hand too much this is something you'd have to accept. I didn't find too much grinding needed. There were usually areas, secrets and items to get to help boost your abilities and in that process it would give you what you needed to make it a viable battle. I've heard of people battling her with the 1 hit attacks and winning, mind. She was notorious mostly because it was a good step up in difficulty compared to the previous and was before the game world was as open as it would be later. Thankfully not too many moments like that. Most the road blocks were simply working out the puzzle to beating them, which was fair enough and not too hard to work out.
Hmm my post didn't post.... Ah well, I had said:

Hmm now I kinda wish I had the budget to add Thief 1 to my list. Ah well maybe sometime in the future, I'm not one who usually gets the kindness of strangers. At least RT3 is actually selling.

moonshineshadow: And again the sorry page for free game. But it is still fun :D
There was a free game between Dragon Commander and RC3? I didn't catch the flicker - what was it?

Stoltverd: Missed a LOT of giveaways
avatar
sbenrap: Don't feel bad, I missed all giveaways and all free games as well :)
The only giveaways I missed were the forum posted ones :p

I know I made it back in time to not miss any of the games :p
The free games are in milliseconds away being worked there with bots and scripts, not fair!
