Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Roman5 jumped on the table and sang "New York, New York" in the nude.

It wasn't a pretty sight. We all need counselling.

jamyskis: I don't actually disagree with anything you've said there, so...
I mean, in general. I'd rather not bump that thread =)

hunvagy: Well it looked like fun at first, but after Divine Divinity, I expected more. Lot of regurgitated landscapes, and loads of mindless slaughter of enemies with very little variation in combat skills. But that's just my personal opinion. And luckily I bought it together with Risen, so I just put it away, then found myself spending 3 straight days stranded on an island building swords and running from monks trying to make me mop the floor.

Faeja_Vu: When you get down to it, a lot of large worlds have "regurgitated landscapes" and enemies to slaughter. Some are worse than others though, certainly. From what I saw in the vid though it definitely looked worth while to at least check out.

Personally I actually wasn't all that fond of Risen. Part of it is perhaps being limited to playing as a bald man and the world being far less open world like than it seemed like it would be. It can still be enjoyable though, in limited doses.
True, I'll probably get back to it. Especially now that I have two different versions xD I have a boxed Dragon Knight Saga, and the Director's Cut from a bundle. But for some reason I was put off real fast.. and let me tell you, I played halfway through Descent to Undermountain.

Faeja_Vu: Well the cost of it for one...

wanderlust76: 22 dollars is cheap for a new game look at how much new console games cost. I would buy it if my system could run it. I'm in the process of building a new gaming pc.
I specced up my gaming pc a few weeks ago. Will cost almost 2 grand, but it is going to be extreme overkill :p

Yeah you missed Thunderscape the second greatest game ever (Divinity: Dragon Commander being number one)

I'm kind of peeved that the few games that I want that haven't hit round 3 yet I'll probably miss during my 2 hour 1-credit Physics lab....

I'm pretty sure cheap doesn't automatically trump good. For me, at least, this game isn't $22 worth of good. And yes, I have played it.

Nah whenthis sale is working is the best time to be asleep. Where in the world can you look at a boxart of Jack Keane 2 and have so much fun?
I will laugh my ass off if this turns out to be the last game.
Anyone have geneforge 1-5 or The real texas to trade?

I have might and magic collection to trade.

Thanks in advance!
While we are waiting...

Here's a Call Of Juarez key I don't need (Steam):

Well, time for me to head home. Disperse, Dragon Commanders!
