Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

CorranHorn: Ghost In The Shell is awesome, I´m a big fan of Blade Runner (regard that one as on of the best movies ever made=)).
Only saw Ghost in the Shell movie version but I dug that much. Blade Runner rulz, yo! :DDD

I should check out Ghost in the Shell series since lot of folks seems to like it a lot.
Oh c'mon you Book of the Broken World's Thunderkeane 2 !

Briareos262: I believe in that belief too. Thats why I still cherish my PC games of the great incline of the 90s and still enjoy some newer indies ones of today. And the nice break in console games are good too, its a bit different variety in itself. Like for instance I love the God of War series and the GTA series is fun too...along with some really awesome JRPGs.

CorranHorn: Got a PS2 for all the exclusives, I´m a sucker for Sonys own titles like Ratchet and Clank, Sly, God of War. Got a 360 for the same reason but Microsoft lost me when they started with the whole Kinect thing. That and the fact that they chose to show the new console as a media hub was all I needed to see that they are not as game focused as Sony and Nintendo (I´m fairly certain this has been their agenda all the time, to "lure" people in with games and then focus on the TV thing once the mainstream has gotten the console).
Yeah I've been a fan of the Sony since the PS1 days granted it was a very slow start, however they came about to having some nice exclusives and a vastly extended good mix of games by the PS2 and PS3 era. Microsoft isn't so bad ::gasp:: I know I said it. The games were okay at first then there was good selection. I agree Kinetic is a gimmick very similar to Wii. I just ignore it tho =P I still to this day do not have a Kinectic and had a PS3 Move never used tho since last Christmas only because that one came with the system =P

Cardian: Which version of Blade Runner do you prefer?
I loved the original Guyver series. And Blade Runner, Director's Cut for definite, although the Final Cut was quite good. They should do a similar thing with the Star Wars movies allowing you to watch whichever version you want.

Cardian: Strange. Lucius is not the greatest game ever but you'd think that someone would get it for free. Hm.
already got Lucius a good long while back on some sale thanks tho ^_^

Hey I remember Guyver! I saw the live action movie oh so long ago. I think even Mark Hamil was in it. It was awesome! I need to really see the anime one tho.....someday.

Devoidless: Say...

Don't suppose anyone would be up for buying me a copy of NwN2, Planescape, Evoland, System Shock 2 and Jade Empire? To be reimbursed with a trade of any game of roughly equal value?

No? But...but...sleep is nice.
I could get those for you if they show up. Do you want all of them or just select ones? I'm leaving for about an hour to eat right now, after that I'll be here for another 4-5 hours.

Sweet, I will be looking for Ghost in the Shell series, then. It looks to be very quality series.
Does anybody know if System Shock 2 and Witcher 2 had their Last Chance yet?

I had to get some sleep some time...
Just wondering........ is anyone in this thread using the mechanical keyboard?
