Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Thanks to Book of Unwritten Tales I'm getting some work done

Devoidless: This is painful. I came prepared to buy ~$50 USD worth of 'product' and so far have spent nothing. Depending on how the sales go, it might stay that way.

Melhelix: Awhh I'm sorry the flash sale has been so rough, this is GOG's first try at one. GOG does do two sales every week, normally. One Gem Promo which is a singular game, and one group sale of a particular developer/publisher/theme. There will also be two major sales coming up, the Black Friday sale and the Winter Holidays sale. Last year the Winter Holidays sale went all through December and included a DND bundle which was all the DND games for like 80% off.
Ha, thanks for the sympathy. I've just had horrible luck with my timing and, well, luck. That 4.5 hour session with Keane yesterday didn't help things either. XD

I just want to get the games I want for a great price as opposed to pirating them. Because it's easier to buy on the cheap and re-download than find a torrent, download that and tinker with the game to work.

NadirGQ: So, what game are you guys hoping pop up next?

Psykopat89: Deus Ex, Two Worlds 2 and Icewind Dale. That'd be swell.

Already got Planescape, Never Winter Nights 2 and Jade Empire. :D
Oooh, nice! I picked up Icewind Dale when it last popped up, and I'm staying up for Planetscape and Jade Empire (and King's Bounty)

DubConqueror: I'm not sure I want to spend more money now, I got 5 games and am almost satisfied.

I want to complete the Thief trilogy though, still need Thief 3: Deadly Shadows (if so, it can replace my Steam version and I can play it DRM-free).

Games that are tempting as well are Sacred Gold, Wargame:European Escalation and Two Worlds.
I love the Thief games. Excited for Thief 4?
and 9:17 in Amsterdam
As a full-time student and part-time worker, I've missed pretty much every sale I've been looking forward to, though I did manage to nab a couple surprises.
If you think that The Book of Unwritten Tales is selling too slowly, then just imagine how painful it would be to watch a night of 1000 Omertas go by.
alright, we are getting close to another drop...GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY! hopefully it is the game you want.

Hey, I just so happened to pick up a giftable copy of Thief 3 when it passed through. Would you like it?
I think it's safe to assume that it's the longest thread ever, right? Even birthday forum giveaway wasn't that long...
Comon, guys... Book of Unwritten Tale... LAST CHANCE! :D
Is someone going to be around for the next 6-7 hours (like checking in from work or studying? Hoping to have anything that goes up between now and then PMed to me so I can help maintain the list of what is left to sell.

There are three longer threads on the first page of the forums...

No, the gaming deals thread is much longer: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gaming_deals_thread

Probably longest for the amount of time it has existed. Surely fastest posting. :-)
