Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Uzur9: Im messing with u. BR is also my fav. I also own the novel was a good read. Do not own the manga.

MGShogun: The novel is a wonderful experience.

But.... I do admit that manga is pretty trashy fun. Still, the translation in it is just..... atrocious. :(
Ive plans to pick up other Japanese novels. Like the Ringu trilogy, Parasite Eve and stuff by rampo edogawa

skeletonbow: Yeah, Groupees screwed me over with their hard disk crash problem. They claim they're working on fixing it, 2 months have passed and they say they're working on fixing it. Seriously? How can you have a server crash and not restore your customer content in less than 24-48 hours tops? I can only think of one way:

1) Amateurs. No RAID storage, and no backups.

They probably had to send hard disks to some data recovery place or something. Pretty lame. They told me they'd refund my money and I never heard from them since and did not get any refund either.

I'd highly recommend people avoid Groupees, they're not trustworthy.
Do you need to complain in here?. As far as i know Groupees fixed the direct download for drm free games mostly and its the music thats a bit of an issue atm

mantarrochen: So what are you people doing to pass the time until this Unwritten Behemoth goes away? =D Im thinking about firing up a first round of Dont Starve which I got yesterday from this sale.

Thruggsen: I've been planning a build for NWN.
I own NWM Complete here on GOG already so as far as this franchise is concerned Im only waiting for NWN 2. Of course I havent touched NWN yet (backlog !) so I only have faint recollection of my first and only playthrough of it. Hm, somehow I remember thinking that after I beat the game I thought that the game was a bit ... generic? Am I recalling correctly?

About NWN2 I remember that I once played the addon Mask of the Be..trayer(?) and stopped right when you get that extra "ghost energy" bar or something. Maybe I was tired but I felt a little overwhelmed at the moment and never got back to it.

Nope, you're remebering correctly. The original campaign for NWN is pretty average at best. But the strength of the game isn't in the official campaign. It's in the on-line play and the literally hundreds (if not thousands) of quality community-made modules.

Yeah, the spirit-eater mechanic. You'll either hate it or... put up with it. But there are mods to get rid of it if you hate it.
Well, we got Jack'd again.

Anybody know the order of the games? I'm curious when BG1, Planescape, and Icewind Dale become available again.

Man, I hated Wesley, first second I saw him. It's like Sar-Sar Bings from Star Wars or the "Hero" Character from AquaNox 2. These are characters, I would pay money for, to see them die. Slowly.

The original boxed campaign in NWN 1 is notoriously vanilla, indeed. The game was made as a system to support player made content, and the OC was sort of just a "look at the kind of stuff you guys can make". But it does put a new character through its paces and is worth a run through once in a while.

I haven't played much NWN2.

Jacked if it reaches 5 hours (god forbid!)... i prefer Eadored atm ;)
Hey, this game is good!
Stop trolling Nordic, folks! Buy this! :)
Just checked if I missed anything. I didn't and this might take a couple of hours.
Yeah this is totally Jacking. :(
Might as well do something useful meanwhile..
