Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

Thruggsen: Probably a melee fighter as they are simplest to start with in 4th ed games and I need to remember where everything is :) Thinking Fighter/Paladin/Champ of Torm with a 2H and lots of smite feats.
A good mix. FTR4/CoT10/Pal 26 (if you're planning to level 40) is a great build. Otherwise, go with FTR 4 to get Weapon Specialization then, Pal whatever and throw in some CoT in epic levels as CoT can grab Epic Weapon Specialization as long as the character has the non-epic version from FTR levels. It's a great combo.

Another one to consider is FTR/Rogue/CoT. This was always my 'go-to' build when I was exploring a new server or a module I wasn't sure about. Very versatile.

ggf162: That should be fairly obvious for anybody that got it already this year xD
Yeah i forgot about it. thought id throw it out there anyway :D

Uzur9: I dont 'member that scene in Hungry Games.

MGShogun: Kiriyama just lucked out on bunch of ammos that he collected from his 'classmates'.

Btw, Battle Royale is one of my personal favorite movies. :DDDDD
I get that, but wasn't there only one guy with the machine pistol to begin with? The gang girl had a gun, I think, one had grenades and one had a pair of nunchaku that Kiriyama didn't even give enough of a crap about to take with him. That thing has the highest level of ballistic firepower in the entire movie. No other gun was even close. So wouldn't any ammo he found be incompatible? Also, the idea of junior high school student/wannabe freedom fighter, complete with hidden detonator in his necklace? Pretty frigging ludicrous. Funny, though. lol.

Uzur9: Im messing with u. BR is also my fav. I also own the novel was a good read. Do not own the manga.
The novel is a wonderful experience.

But.... I do admit that manga is pretty trashy fun. Still, the translation in it is just..... atrocious. :(

mantarrochen: So what are you people doing to pass the time until this Unwritten Behemoth goes away? =D Im thinking about firing up a first round of Dont Starve which I got yesterday from this sale.

Melhelix: Making everything I downloaded last night run on a Mac. Just tinkering with Boxer, Winery, and Playonmac mainly. Tedious but not really difficult. Then I get to play them all! Wooo! \o/

It's just an entertainment. :)

If the psychopath runs out of the ammo...... it wouldn't be any fun anymore. :P

Coelocanth: Hey, thanks for the heads up! I didn't know it was there. I'll keep an eye out here though until the end of the sale. Even though it's only a buck more to unlock it on HB, there's actually nothing else in that bundle that I want, so I'd rather wait and see if I can get it here for a buck cheaper. Thanks again for the heads up though. Much appreciated.

nijuu: EC isnt DRM free. Steam only.
Geez, Humble is barely doing DRM-free anymore even for the stuff that's DRM-free elsewhere. How the mighty have fallen...

And Groupees have had games I bought that have become "temporarily unavailable" for download for months now. No wonder I'm lurking obsessively on GOG...

Agreed. I enjoy the movie, but the book is definitely better.
Go, cliched but accurate commentary!
So, Book of Unwritten Tales, ey? I got a copy right now, because I might actually like it a lot. Hurm, I'm afraid this won't be over until I really have to start working here, without being able to get to the PC.

By talking about Macs I find myself always at the brink of switching to an alternative OS like Linux. But then again I am always hitting the wall that is the battle for making your games work. I figure it is the same with a Mac. Why did it have to be a Mac for you in the first place?

Sure it is. Impersonating one of the Zoidbergs? Direct violation I say!

So glad I DL and archive my games as soon as I buy them...

Okay, I can understand that. But couldn't they at least made it so he could aim better every once in a while? lol. It's like he might as well play "pin the bullet on the student's spinal column" after spinning around blindfolded for a bit.

Yeah, Groupees screwed me over with their hard disk crash problem. They claim they're working on fixing it, 2 months have passed and they say they're working on fixing it. Seriously? How can you have a server crash and not restore your customer content in less than 24-48 hours tops? I can only think of one way:

1) Amateurs. No RAID storage, and no backups.

They probably had to send hard disks to some data recovery place or something. Pretty lame. They told me they'd refund my money and I never heard from them since and did not get any refund either.

I'd highly recommend people avoid Groupees, they're not trustworthy.
