Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

petitmal: You got the "sorry we've reached the limit"-message as well?

DalamarNL: Every single time. But in the end I don't really mind not getting any free stuff. I just want the bloody Two Worlds 2 to come up again.
Hope u will get it

nijuu: So were stuck on ROTT again.
Actually pretty good SP game. Havent fiddled with multiplayer yet though. Yeah they probably shoulda discounted it a bit more...
How long its been stuck for?
avatar
Fictionvision: RoTT came up about 4:35 EST I think, so a bit over an hour now
Cool. Sounds crazy. Maybe they trying to push the slow movers through first.. sure in hell gives them a bit of a break time...
They probably do need to work on their pricing... change it around from sale to sale. Having the same discount on each sale seems kinda of silly

So what is the order of the games again?
I can´t find it.

npalsensei: The only good thing about battlenet back then was that you could trade some drops for the ones you wanted with others instead of running double and triple the number of runs to get the same item, if at all. Other than that, it was a major pain. I can't understand why would anyone want their perfectly single player game be locked in an online prison.

rtcvb32: In all honesty, Vanilla D2 was kinda boring after the first 30 hours. I loved a mod called Zy-El, which brought so much to the table and made the game HARD until you got the proper posters, enchantments, etc. Then it was fun again. I think Blizzard doesn't like mod's because there's talent out there that does better for free than they do.

As for D3, because it's online only I will never buy it. Screw it coming out on the PS3/PS4, they already have said their games are part of a 'rich kid club' as far as I'm concerned and I don't play those.
Same goes for me. I will never ever play D3, because I am not able to pay it via. LAN. This concept is a piece of shit. And it's even worse. Some developers don't even know anymore, that they don't need a internetserver for Multiplayergames. Never heard of LAN, dedicated servers and such things. It's horrible.

Hmmm, left when it was at 150 copies and made a tasty mango salsa. Come back to 77 copies. What to make now? Hmmm....

Completely random, free game every 3-5 games.

Knofbath: He's in Germany, so he's probably got a much lower ping to the GoG servers than the rest of us scrubs.

AngryAlien: I live in Germany too, I do have a decent connection and I could not score even once.
dito! but i'm happy about one of the 500 baldurs gate 2 for 1.99$ :D
If Jack Keane had a baby with Rise of Triad, a new ice age would be born.

make some tortilla chips for that salsa?
Random stuff: I am watching Lord of the Rings 3 right now and as always I can´t stop wondering... why the hell did they not use those giant eagles right from the start to fly into Mordor?

npalsensei: It's not that it's just online only. It's that retarded thing that it's a SINGLE player game that forces you to play it online... I mean really... I was equally pissed when I found out about the whole online DRM thing that is pretty much everywhere today...
Same thing with StarCraft 2. The original StarCraft is still going strong in Korea from what I hear with huge tournaments, and I watched someone playing on a laptop up there, they are fast and mean.

No I don't play always-online games unless they are fully MMO's; I've heard games from Aeria if you start to get ahead without actually buying anything from them they will shut you down which takes away any free fun from them.
