Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

nijuu: So were stuck on ROTT again.
Actually pretty good SP game. Havent fiddled with multiplayer yet though. Yeah they probably shoulda discounted it a bit more...
How long its been stuck for?
About 25 minutes.
There should be "go to 1st unread post" button, don't you think guys/girls?

AttObl: Compared to Diablo 2, 3ablo is a big letdown.

Also, ERROR 37.

sirchaox1224: The real D3 is Path of Exile
Tried Wineskin but could not get PoE working on a mac

npalsensei: The only good thing about battlenet back then was that you could trade some drops for the ones you wanted with others instead of running double and triple the number of runs to get the same item, if at all. Other than that, it was a major pain. I can't understand why would anyone want their perfectly single player game be locked in an online prison.

rtcvb32: In all honesty, Vanilla D2 was kinda boring after the first 30 hours. I loved a mod called Zy-El, which brought so much to the table and made the game HARD until you got the proper posters, enchantments, etc. Then it was fun again. I think Blizzard doesn't like mod's because there's talent out there that does better for free than they do.

As for D3, because it's online only I will never buy it. Screw it coming out on the PS3/PS4, they already have said their games are part of a 'rich kid club' as far as I'm concerned and I don't play those.
It's not that it's just online only. It's that retarded thing that it's a SINGLE player game that forces you to play it online... I mean really... I was equally pissed when I found out about the whole online DRM thing that is pretty much everywhere today...

DalamarNL: Well, here I am with my 150Mb/s , 32-33ms ping, hardwired to the internet and I did not manage to get a free game once.
Oh well...
avatar
petitmal: You got the "sorry we've reached the limit"-message as well?
Every single time. But in the end I don't really mind not getting any free stuff. I just want the bloody Two Worlds 2 to come up again.
avatar
AngryAlien: I live in Germany too, I do have a decent connection and I could not score even once.
avatar
mkess: I got one freebie. You have to speak with your provider. They have to disable one protocol, so that you get faster pings. I play onlinegames, and I insisted I wanted to use fastconnect.
That option isn't really needed (you probably mean fastpath - i think - which should lower your ping from normal 30-35 to 12-16 ms (to your providers backbone).
Ping could be a problem for people with pings >100ms but mostly it's getting a good refresh on the sale counter and clicking before you know what it is...a lot of luck involved too ;)

Actual prize is not bad at all. When I bought Erica Reed Thriller I was surprised to find 4 separate episodes in my game catalog :)

CorranHorn: 1 hour I think.
I put 25 minutes, I guess I was being optimistic. lol

Sylenall: Hi guys, I assume this "last chance" thing means there will be a third rotation?

Can anyone tell me if Nexus has been up a third time? I flubbed the second opportunity to get it and missed the first.
avatar
Kaitu: No, it hasn't. RotT is the first game of ROund Three.
Thanks. Hope I'm quick enough this time (plz let there be more than 200)
avatar
joppo: Hmmm I'll have to take a one-hour trip anytime during the next 4 hours. Maybe I should do it before RotT finishes selling.
avatar
petitmal: If you wait your four hours are gone...
Yes but it's not just "get up and leave" right now. I need at least half an hour of preparation and I "fear" RotT won't last for another hour and a half.
Cool. Doesnt beat JK2's 4-5hour stretch bunch of us went through LOL :)

Yep the price of this is the sole reason I didn't go for it. If I had wanted it for 7.50 I would have just gotten it 2 weeks ago for that price(granted I know that's not everyone one) but that is the particular sticking point for me on it.

RoTT came up about 4:35 EST I think, so a bit over an hour now
This is the first Last Round game, but Nexus and BG&E were just up I round two earlier today
