I tried to use origin30 promo code to buy Bioware Points for Mass Effect 2 DLC (Lair of the Shadow Broker) and the code was not accepted for that.

The origin30 promo code was accepted when I tried to buy Bioware points for Mass Effect 3 DLC, but I did not buy any because they increased the Bioware Points price with 25% (in euro) since the last time I bought them.

They actually do increase the pricing when they are putting games on sales. I've noticed that happening since the fall 2015. It's like buying something on sale in Romania. Who says that EA did not learn anything from our retailers?!;-)

See?! Having a studio around, allowed them to find new way to milk their customers! ;)

NuffCatnip: WTF?!
Since when are 800 Bioware points worth 10€.
Last time I bought 800 points they were at 8 or so €'s. -_-
Since January.
GG EA.

Fuck them. :/

At least there isn't a DLC that I have to own. I already bought all the DLC that I wanted, with the exception of Legacy for Dragon Age II, Mark of the Assassin is pretty boring imo.
I was hoping they would go away completely so I could buy the DLCs for Mass Effect 3 but no dice so far. They still cost and uneven amount of bioware points and are horrible overpriced to boot.

EA....sale....now....DLC.... thank you!!!

No, they don't. Two of them (Leviathan, From Ashes) is 800 points and the other two (Citadel, Omega) are 1200 points. You can buy both quantities (at least, I could when I bought the DLC as noted above).

No argument here.

We can only buy 800 or 1600 points in Europe.

Well, that sucks monkey balls. I guess if you wanted the three I got (Leviathan, Citadel, and Omega) then you're fine (total of 3200 points. But yeah, that's... asinine.

Yes, it sucks but also only 800 and 1600 points here in Denmark and it does suck - but no matter, they are still too pricey even if you could buy them with an even amount of B-points. Oddly enough I could buy the collector's Edition upgrade with real money that came with From Ashes DLC so that was something I guess. Oh well.
Well, 1 year later than the date of topic yet Bioware Points are still there and more expensive than ever.

They're not actually getting rid of them though. They just aren't using them in any more games.

Are you sure? I checked and if I go through the Bioware Social Network I can buy 400, 560, 800 and 1600 points. At least they're shown like that, haven't bought anything (I'm situated in Germany).

The only DLC I'm thinking of getting are the story DLC for DA2, but it costing so much doesn't really encourage me. Since I have a little over 400 left I might just invest another 4 Euros for one DLC though, which one would you guys recommend?

They should really have a sale for the points. Or more codes. Or are people actually buying them when they see "they have no choice?" =(
Recently I got ME3 and decided to play all the games. After beating ME I installed ME2 and was shocked when I realized nothing had changed in regards to the points. I just assumed EA ware out of the dark ages, although, in retrospect, I don't know why I did.

I guess that this is just forgotten thing. I honestly believe, the people behind this system left the company long ago and nobody took over that "bio points project".At this point pirating ME2 and ME3 is well justified, since nothing is going to change unless PC gamers unite and make a problem out of this. Like a campaign against EA.

Anyways, I think I'll just tackle another beast entirely.

What are you going to do? Burn babies and kill rabbits?

Oh dear no! There is no evidence to suggest that EA likes babies or rabbits, therefore hearting them would not be beneficial, in this case. I believe that EA cares about their name, even though one would not assume that, based on their actions in the past.

So, something that might make them rethink how they operate would be if they become a meme. They almost are now, especially after winning two or three years in a row "Worst company on the planet", beating even BP the year they destroyed the Mexican gulf. Thing is, people are just saying "EA is the worst" and even if someone out there is listening he would not know how to fix it, because they just don't get it.

A forum like reddit could make such an effort. Me, I can barely make an effort to brush my teeth. So as I said, I will just be playing Witcher 3 instead. Who knows, maybe they will remake ME trillogy for the new consoles and we will get better versions for PC as well.

Since this post was unsuccessful, and I am waiting very long now, here is a picture of a salad I once made. It was delicious.
