I am attempting to buy Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds but my payment wont go through. I retried many times to make sure I got the information right and still didn't work. I even tried a Different card. All of them have enough funds for the purchase.

It was suggested on the error that i contact the bank to see why the decline happened. I got on chat with the bank and after looking up the situation and see if they can lift the fraud blocker they said they cant without a reason from GOG as to why it is blocked in the first place.

Also I have already put in a support ticket with GOG and patiently waiting.....

Unless... You wonderful people have any tips or advice on this subject : )

ThankS!

This is strange. Did the bank actually have a fraud block in place? It sounds like they didn't and this is some sort of a problem with GOG itself.

Is PayPal an option for you? You can probably use PayPal to process the credit card transaction, I know I've done that in the past when sites aren't able to process my CC.
GoG processes payment through the EU (I think they use or at least used to use a processor in Greece) - this is enough to put a flag on most US bank accounts (especially if the account holder has shown no previous foreign transactions) - unfortunately many phishing scams and such use EU processors as well (easier to hide from the feds).

My bank sends me a text or calls me if I get a transaction block due to foreign transactions. Tell your bank that GoG uses an EU credit card processor and is based out of the EU; this should be a 'good' enough reason for them to lift the block.

I have one card that I can not use here, is blocked everytime. I have contacted the card company and they will not lift the block saying they have too many problems with this site. I have never had a problem with the site, but the card company will not see that. It is not on GOGs end but on the card that it's not working (at least for me).

Hopefully you can find a resolution that works for you. I use Paypal the majority of the time and it always works.

Good luck to you!

I had a feeling that was the case. Unfortunately the only resolution here is going to be for them to fix it. Otherwise you'd have to trade for it and that's going to be tough for a new customer.
I'm currently having this error right now with Paypal (I started using Paypal here after my bank gave me trouble for repeated credit card transactions during sales, although tonight is the first time it happened to me with Paypal). My credit card isn't working either.

When it happened with my credit card last time, I found out it is because GOG does business through Cyprus, which a lot of US banks consider to be suspicious because a lot of online gambling sites do that too. So that could be why the bank initially declined it.

Then after your card gets declined by the bank a few times, GOG thinks it might be fraud too so they put a block on their end in case your card is being used by someone else who doesn't have the right information. So that's probably what your bank meant when they said that the block is from GOG, although it was probably in response to the bank initially blocking the transaction.

Or, since it's happening with Paypal too, maybe there's some kind of error with GOG's site right now which is sending the wrong information to the banks and Paypal, so it might not be the same thing this time.
I'm having this issue too. The reason it's odd this time though is the card I'm using I've used literally hundreds of times to buy games here. I too am also have the issue that the PayPal option isn't redirecting me to PayPal but is instead defaulting to the "Something Went Wrong" page. At this point I have to assume this is on GoG's end and not both my bank and PayPal's end because if payment was rejected it would be through PayPal's site, not GoG. Also I attempted to call my bank to which they replied that now information of an attempted purchase was sent to them. Here's hoping that this issue is resolved sooner rather than later.

This also happened to me recently. I tried to buy Darklands, but it said the same thing. Man, why is it doing this now, though? I've bought games before like Alpha Centauri and Planescape: Torment. This is so frustrating. I wish GOG would just change companies or something. Googled my question, and this thread popped up. I'd rather not go through this headache. I think I'll just stick to Steam now.
I'm also receiving this error now. I've never had any problems paying with paypal before.

edit

nvm it's fixed now. Don't know what the problem was. :p
