Sometimes it can be quite strange for you when you experience a New Years Eve in a new neighbourhood for the first time.
This is my experience this year.
I've moved into a flat situated in a area of four houses with four flats in them located in a residential area each looking like a big residential house. I know there are a lot of people ranging from twenty years old to late thirties living in those four houses. The actual residential houses is upper middle class.
So I went outside to see what's usually going on here on something like a New Years Eve. Turns out it's dead quiet except for my pensioned gardening obsessed woman next house neighbour. She's having a party with what looks like three pairs of very abbreviated pensioners in a small three room apartment. I don't think I even want to know what they'll get up to when they get really drunk. They look very proper but everyone knows that it's the proper looking people you have to look out for when they get dead drunk...
tinyE: My mother is hosting her NYE dinner party right now. I feel like a prisoner in my own house. :P
Glad I'm not the only one with a weird New Years Eve experience.
