I am so damn dissapointed by this service. I am downloading SOMA for 5 hours and when i press wrong button whole data deletes in few secs. I Did not press anything with delete or something like that. Why are you making steam like service where REAL money are used and it does not work? Same thing for Witcher 3 i had HOURS AND HOURS of problems with instaling this game. I am damn serious how could you be so FAKIN cruel and do this...

What happenned: I have SOMA in library cant install it. Nothing happens download is still 0.00 MBPS
So i download 11GB backup and when i try to install it BOOOm it dissapears.

Ah well if you go to your download list and click the little X next to the download it does immediately delete everything without asking 'Are you sure?'.

It has to be the clear button lol.

After downloading the backup copy via Galaxy you have to install it manually by going to the directory where its downloaded and running the installer from there. If after downloading the backup you click INSTALL in Galaxy for SOMA then it will start installing the game via Galaxy as before.

The backup is meant for people that don't want to use the Galaxy client, hence the reason why the backup can be downloaded directly from the website via browser or the GOG Downloader as well. This is what makes the GOG client optional (unlike Steam) in order to install and play the games. So go to the download directory (should be C:\GOG Games) where you'll find the SOMA setup and install it from there.

GOG Galaxy is still in beta. One of its problems is that it can give you really slow downloads.

If it slows, try closing Galaxy and then re-opening. If that doesn't speed it up, then use the downloader www.gog.com/downloader (you can find the downloader links for your game by clicking on SOMA, then MORE, then Downloader Link).

Galaxy should be able to pull pretty much any bandwidth you can grab from it. It's super-fast. So if it's slow, then you know you're bugging. Restart Galaxy or use the webpage or the downloader.

I can pull 11 GB in just a few minutes from GOG.
