I was able to make my first purchase from GOG today using the Credit/Debit Card payment option. My card is a pre-paid Mastercard issued by the National Bank of Greece. Did you have any luck yourself?

Hey there, meow, that's good news, nya! I honestly have no idea, since i used this trick before to buyout EVERYTHING in my wishlist (up to now). I have already hit jackpot and am crammed full. Paypal though ate me 13 dollars! My prepaid was Pireos. Through the trick, i charged paypal, which was registered on my National Bank ATM card. And did the transactions.

Now i don't know, but i cannot try either, since i am freshly broke of credit money. And methinks to charge a prepaid card is still forbidden service and refused from the bank itself.

There have been announcements for well over a week now, about possible loosening of capital controls, but i gave it no notice, since previous announcements were rejected by banks, like the online transactions over foreign country companies.

Now i am clinging on my cash, for the time being. I have a small fortune to spend for "gousta" as i want, especially since i couldn't go on vacation anywhere with only exception my waterfall expedition, but i am saving for the right occasions.

If it is written in Insomnia.gr & many other fora, they'll soon find out... I guess the best course of action would be to contact each & every Greek member by pm. Then again, do you think Paypal don't know what transactions have been made and how? It's a win-win situation, we can use whatever money we have, Paypal gets it's share for the service and everyone does the *duck* and whistles casually... :P

NO need to... Mr Grargar reports that as of now, he can buy things NORMALLY here, once again! And they have already announced the loosening of controls. Plus, i repeat, paypal ate me without reason or proof 13 dollars equivalent to euros, sum... Paypal profited nicely from controls, general instability and unique way to bypass the sh*t. Should banks work normally again, i am going to dump that paypal account once and for all!

I can confirm that too! I don't know since when exactly but two weeks ago I've been able to use it without problems, after you pinged me about it.

Did you have any luck? Today, I was able to make my first purchase with Paypal from ebay (with no tricks), so you could try buying from here with it.

I just saw your post,'cause i had no internet the past few days.I tried right now and....nothing.I get the big X,more like the big FU.I even tried the paypal trick,it doesn't work.I wonder,how does your card work and mine doesn't.I feel like i picked the wrong bank.This is getting annoying...

They even announced anew capital controls loosening, but i don't know what to believe and whatnot. It would be the third or the fourth announcement already.

Even if it died, something else (possibly worse) would take its place. Maybe it would be the (k)nabbing system.
