The tone is needed, because you want to make this explanation of the downsides of this improvement to fit your claim that it was overall a mistake, and not an improvement over the previous Civs.
Oh and oops, you just repeated that out of context claim, basically proving why the tone is needed.

Attempting to ridicule me won't make your arguments look better.

The "explanation of the downsides of this improvement" is nine paragraphs about why 1 UPT works in Panzer General and not in Civ 5. But apparently giving this context is making an out of context claim.

Yes it is, here is how your post should have sounded if you weren't trying to co-opt the guy for your own arguments:

Understand now? He is basically saying the same thing I am trying to get you guys to understand, that stacks of doom suuuuuuuuuuuuuck (apparently even worse than something that doesn't even work!), and here you come twisting his words to fit your strange love for SODs.

Whenever someone asks if Civ5 is worth it I kill their cat in a parallel universe.
And I like kittens very much...in every universe. So, please, stop doing that.
Civ5 is by far the best Civ game, a delightful treat any true managerial wizard would appreciates.
