no thats the day after
Well, we traditionally eat kokoretsi which is pieces of lamb offal (sweetbreads, liver, heart, lungs, spleen, kidney and fat) that are pierced on a spit and covered by washed lamb or goat intestines wound around in a tube-like fashion, then roasted over a coal fire, splinantero which consists of liver, spleen, and small intestine, roasted over an open fire and magiritsa, a soup made with lamb offal and lettuce in a white sauce. And of course lamb spit roasted slowly over a coal fire. We like our meats. And they're all fucking delicious.

I find it strange that someone with such a foul mouth would put up a thread concerning Easter.

P.S.I realize that I am a long way from being a Saint.

They look fucking delicious. :D

I´m doing nothing special the next days.
Maybe I´ll go watch Batman VS. Superman this Saturday with some friends or some cousins.

I may be in my 20´s but I hope my parents get me some sweets for easter. xD

Well, shouldn't you rather reply "What Easter? I don't see no Easter round here!"? Especially as our own Easter (since we're Greek Orthodox) won't come until May 1st. (these catholic/protestant guys have Easter way too early this year!)

P.S. Also mageiritsa seems really gross to me and I'm not personally going to ever eat it!

I don't care about flags or religion, so I consider myself neither "greek" except on papers only and certainly not orthodox or even christian, I've had those removed from official papers as well. So I only care about the food, really. But yes, greek easter comes a bit later. I don't see a thread about greek easter though. :P

Aww man... Easter is a christian religious celebration you know, so why you celebrate it in the 1st place? Also, when you're a Cretan like me whose compatriots shed blood to unite themselves with the country which bears the Greek flag and made heroic achievements near it (at everybody else: it's Greek so use Google translate), and live in a quasi-forgotten Greek place like Cyprus, well you can't ignore such things as your own nationality and flag, even though the current government of Greece really, really sucks!
Oh btw it's 25th of March today...

Ah yes, there's food too. We Greeks must be amongst the people that give a whole lot of importance to food -we're probably on 2nd place behind Americans regarding this....

Maybe I should make one when times comes....

P.S. Sorry if I sound agressive, but I'm annoyed when I see people who don't give a crap about that stuff because if Greece fills up with them no way we'll get out of the trouble we're in....
