falloutttt: I do know. When we die, we don't go to hell or heaven. That's just religious bullship propaganda. To control and manipulate people, generation after generation. They been doing this for the last +/- 2000 years. That's why people of today are so freaking insanely stupid. lol

What happens after we die, we lose our body and our memory of the life we lived. And then we are reborn a new, without the memory of the past life, and experience everything for the first time again.
Lol, damn....I was just making a comment on gaming, I wasn't trying to start a philosophy debate....j/k though, it is nice to read sometimes.....I myself think either could be valid(the whole "simulation theory" could also hold some slight merit possibly).

falloutttt: And we die, so that we can appreciate life as we know it. Cause if we were immortal, as in we can't die. Then there's no fun in life, since we wont be afraid to risk our life. Cause we wont die anyway. And life becomes rather boring after a while.
Agreed....the Brunnen G(forget how to spell it) from Lexx is a good example....they got their world blown up despite being advanced because they just didn't care anymore due to being immortal for so long.

falloutttt: As for taking bling-bling with you to the afterlife. Well that's nothing new, really. Pharaohs of Egypt, have done it. But were they buried in dirt somewhere ? Nope! They were buried in the Valley of the Kings. So unless you take all your bling with you and be buried in the Valley of the Kings, I say it's rather pointless and stupid idea otherwise. :D
Thing is, even they mostly got plundered due to having no real protections on their tombs.....now me, i'd have like gun turrets on the roof or some such. ;)

I for one, don't believe in any known or unknown theory about whatsoever. I just like to know them. :P

Well, that "not real protections on their tombs" may have been the best they could come up with, back in the days. Or maybe them tombs were meant to be discovered, witch is why they had no real protection to begin with.

There are some treasures we know alot about, but yet haven't been able to find for a very long time now. Now that's a good protection. And no guns needed. ;D

Yes, but KNOWING means you either died and came back(and have proof one way or the other) or know someone who did. ;)

Until we pass on, none of us usually knows what lies beyond.

They had some means, but they were pricey(similar to various scales of internment today.

Also as for not being discovered: The guys who built the pyramids weren't trying to hide them very well, I think. ;D
(And the other more important tombs were mostly in one valley, iirc)

Yeah, getting stuff lost will usually work well in that regard. :)

Oh but that may not necessarily be true. Only so if you look at it all from that narrow Religious/Educational system's way of thinking. :D

Like I said, don't concentrate on what you think you know, you learned, or what most people think. Cause like you said, no one knows anything, right? So, just forget everything you "know" and let your mind wonder...

Logically/technically speaking, it is true...no one knows what lies beyond life as no one has reported back what lies beyond as of yet(afaik, and by that I mean proven accounts not anecdotes)....that is separate from whatever ANY religion/way of thinking teaches. ;)

(Now this is not to say i'm not open minded.....I just admit that I truly do not know about such things, and am okay with that)

I wish I could be like you. Not knowing something and be ok with that. But I can't, I have the need to know. :( It's like an addiction. I'm like a knowledgeholic or something. I need professional help. ;(

Think of it this way: If the ideas of an afterlife with infinite knowledge are true then we'll find out soon enough(give or take some years)...and if they aren't then it won't matter. :)

Don't take what I say seriously, eh ? I'm mainly just being silly, all the time. It's a sickness, but I enjoy it.

But being serious here for once, I agree there with you. It doesn't really matter. :)

What a coincidence.....I am often silly to diffuse any tension in topics being discussed or to make people(or myself) feel better about something going on with them or the site or life....etc. :)
