When I hear NMA, I'm thinking null modem adapter. When we didn't have a proper null modem cable, that's what we used in combination with a regular serial cable for multiplayer before we had internet. Many happy memories!

The first thing that popped into my head was some 40-something boy band wannabe, "Now Middle Aged" or something of that ilk.

Null Modem Cables... I remember those; used them to make two computers talk to each other. Long before speech synthesis had improved and voice recognition was actually recognized. <grin>

Well, Fenixp, whenever I scan a thread and see your avatar, I always know to stop and read what you have to say about the matter at hand. Opinionated but fair, and you often make me rethink a position of mine or consider another point of view or detail. For that, you're a perma +1 to the community. Quite a few folks like that around here still, and I'll keep you near the top of my "must read" list.

My favourite rock band of course! Or the New Model Army from the English Civil War that it was named after, I guess... or maybe it's just a really cool alternate spelling for "enema" (knowingly not posting a Wiki link for the latter :P).

Anyway, sucks that Fenix is going (or gone already, I didn't keep track of this). One of the GOGers I have the fondest memories of.
