Well, I'd like to give it the ole' try, but it doesn't exist for my operating system.

Never really used it. Don't see the point. But I uninstalled it quite a few times because it managed to sneak onto my hard disk or started itself automatically and tried to mess with my installations even though I didn't tell it to ...

I don't know how up to date this is but there's a list of gog games with achievements here:

No, not interested in achievements or game time tracking. Also, I would not want to install another (apparently buggy) client when I can play my games without it. That it's marketed as optional, but offered in sneaky, hidden opt-out fashion is what made me like GOG in general a lot less.
use it all the time. i'm happy with it.
I tried Galaxy once. It was the worst gaming experience since Games for Windows Live for me. I'll never install this stupid client again. Never.

I use it for downloading the installers; thats it. Maybe patching but since it does not really patch but redownloads the whole game in a lot of cases I try to avoid it and pick the updates separately if possible.

I strongly dislike its push into being more mandatory and getting shoved into installers... that together with their lack of open communication and handling of service; I lost a big deal of trust and goodwill in gog.
I never used Galaxy and i never will use it. I don't need a client to play my GOG games (so far).

Just curious. Why not use the old GoG Downloader then?

xa_chan: Got it, don't plan to uninstall it. Don't really car about achievements, but having all my games' start buttons in the same place is much better than desktop shortcuts. So, generally happy with it.
This. It's also very good for downloading in bulk (looks like I can only download up to 5 files concurrently through the browser).
Let me put it this way
What's so bad about it.

I think the only reason I haven't it installed is because I know it will affect my existing installed GOG games, which I DON'T want to play through Galaxy. I am talking about how the GOG game shortcuts by default launch Galaxy, if it is installed in the system.

I don't want that, nor do I want to have to edit or create new shortcuts for all my installed GOG games manually, so no Galaxy for me, for now.

I did try Galaxy on another PC back when it came out of beta (or was it alpha?), ie. publicly available, but unfortunately I ran into some of those common problems with it, something like that suddenly it wouldn't start at all but complain about missing components, or something like that. It might have been related to once uninstalling it and then reinstalling, and that somehow broke the Galaxy installation. So, I uninstalled Galaxy completely at that point, and haven't tried to run it ever since (for the aforementioned reason).

Maybe someday, and I'd be a bit interested to try out Gwent, but oh well.
It's handy for keeping games patched, especially when GOG likes to make you download the full installers over and over again if you miss one incremental.

Otherwise the only time it's running is when i'm playing Gwent.
I use Galaxy, GOGDownloader and the website -- all of them.
Galaxy at times feels very limited compared to using the site in a normel browser.
It's good for having all the games at place to launch easily. I don't use cloud saves, and bells and whistles like achievements seem pointless to me.
