OneFiercePuppy: Did you see the post he wrote (and then took down) where he said he took in savegames, put them on his development machine, and those savegames supposedly corrupted his files so badly that his program could no longer write files? This guy.

Asbeau: https://ibb.co/f6SQzv
This more than anything else points to him not having a clue about development. I bet he himself put the "DON'T OVERWRITE" and he eventually grep'ed his own code and found it lol.

direspirefirewire: Oh no. It's going to have DRM too? I'll pass

So he first sells a game drm free and then he put it AFTER? He is just digging his own grave with this retarded move.

direspirefirewire: Oh my goodness! Cleve said it wasn't the pirates. It was his own bugs. WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Oh, there were definitely pirates asking me for support. The bugs had nothing to do with them, it was just a side effect of investigating the files they sent me that I discovered they were illegal. So the pirates were not the ones who crashed the code or introduced any bugs. It was just shocking to realize I had a pirate sending me his savegame and warning me I needed to support my customers.

direspirefirewire: Edit: I also came across this Reddit post about Cleve https://www.reddit.com/r/SidAlpha/comments/6m87d6/possible_dirty_dev_material_cleveland_mark/

It seems that he used to work for Sir-Tech (the original company that made the Wizardry games) before they went bankrupt. He then stole the leftover code for their last game in date, repurposed it to make it look as his own and ran several crowdfunding campaigns, the last of which promised a released product in May 2013, with or without reaching his goal.

direspirefirewire: This sounds really bad.
I called the engine thing in a earlier post from this thread.
This sounds really good honestly.

Regals: Hey look its a nobody kid harassing another developer
This place still the shit hole it always was.

Still see good old pedophile Eram is around , your steam profile TinyEram doesn't talk about how
you only accept friend requests for nudes from small children any more though I noticed?

http://steamcommunity.com/id/eram

Lots of hours on that game NoMan Sky that you trolled non stop here but own over on steam.
Was that as your normal preference to scare buisness away from gog?
What's the deal with your fake post? Didn't know yet the GOG community had the same retarded kids as steam, time flies, I guess.

I know you didn't post that, but I don't understand how people can say "He then stole the leftover code for their last game in date, repurposed it to make it look as his own" without actually putting any evidence forward to back that up. I think Cleve is a POS but it annoys me that people make these kind of very serious allegations without any basis whatsoever.

It's just Regals, some kind of troll who have developed a crush on tinyE... its a bit sad, realy.

Just ignore him, and he will go away again.

Yeah I figured. I hoped this place was still safe from trolls, guess I was wrong, what a shame.
I'll do as you said, thanks for the advice :) .

Nightblair: I'd be much happier if GOG haven't refused The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians. Instead they want this game. TFotDG at least works and is not made by madman.
Nice, that one's going to my list for after I'm done with Wizardry again.

Regals: You just said you don't know if it is good game or not yet you declare it isn't?
Its just the typical 600lb uk sjw huggers crying about the game because the dev didn't make all 500 genders playable.
????
No idea what you're trying to say.

It's confusing because you & the troll have almost identical avatar pics.

tinyE, what's YOUR favorite Wizardry game?

He deliberately took my avatar to PM people and convince them I was harassing them, as well as using the general forum to convince people I was a Steam MOD hanging out in here selling bogus codes. It actually worked a few times.

As for Wizardry, not really into them, but then I never really gave them a fair shake and one of these days I guess I'll really go full bore into a few and see what I'm missing.

This Grimoire game looks great but the screen shots also seem a little "cluttered". :P I can only take so much input at one time.
CMB is really getting beat up on the Steam forums for breaking his own save games. The game is filled to the brim with game-crashing bugs that never should have made it out of testing.

But, to be fair, he does seem to be squashing them as fast as they're reported. He's patching every day and legitimately seems to be dedicated to doing what he should have done in the first place - getting lots of people to test it in lots of configurations so he can kill all the bugs.

I wonder how many copies he's sold? A little quick math, and it looks to me like every 1000 copies should drop about $35k AUS into his account. That beats a poke in the eye.
...but less than two weeks ago the game was 'nigh perfect'!

'Triple AAA games come out all the time that are only 10% as polished as Grimoire'!

Thing is, it's essentially found money. The game so far plays the same as my old pre-2000 preview copy, and I'm willing to bet, based on the bugs and problems with higher resolutions, that he hasn't done much if anything to it since then. Of course, he doesn't just want money. He wants to be regarded as a genius by hordes of admirers. That doesn't look like it's about to happen, but he has promised that his latest release means all future ones won't break saved games.

...Mind you, the latest release *does* break saved games.

This is already happening. See this thread:

Obviously there are many things to complain about: bugs, crashes, broken saves, bad, clunky UI, annoying sound effects, lack of manual and tooltips...
But you don't see people complaining about the thing that lies under all those issues - the actual game. Why? Because the game is really good. Wait until Cleve gets everything sorted out and you will see that there indeed is some genius behind all this madness.
