At the very least, GOG.com could probably get major savings with some page optimization.

The amount of Javascript on the page alone is redonkulous, according to Browser Calories.

Unusable... yet here you are. I get it, its slow. Things change, get a helmet. This essentially boils down to "I have been inconvenienced, make it better for me". No thought at all for those who might find it more appealing or the business who thinks it works for them to sell more, or the people who have broad band...

Hm? I can't use it, I don't see the news, I don't see the prices, most of the stuff is stuck. The top bar doesn't work at all, so I couldn't even log in, see my games etc...and that's just on the main page. I've already posted about it in other threads. The reason I'm here is because I changed my bookmark to the url of this forum. So it's the only part of GOG that I'm using.

I still don't get what exactly is your point. Are you saying we're complaining because of "change is bad"? If so, then newslfash: not any change is a change for better. Some changes actually break existing functionality, or in GOG's case, make the store front harder to navigate.

Are you saying we shouldn't complain that a thing continues to break around us and just blindly accept whatever is new no matter how inferior it is to the old?

Harder.... Exactly. Not impossible. The refusal to acknowledge that perhaps they made this business decision in hopes to increase business, inconsequential! Complain, that is your wont. I stated already and will do so again tin the hopes its clearer for you, I am amazed people continue to complain about it. Go buy games somewhere else if they dont listen. That is your capitalistic right. Nothing here you cant find somewhere else.
