hrmmm.. I have it, but I got confused the first time I played it.. I remember finishing the tutorial and trying to make orbit or something, which I failed miserably... You all have inspired me to try again.

Fairfox: I've been waiting for it to drop to 99 cents for a while. It has not happened yet.
I think you better move to Russia then and wait for a 90% off. :P

I have to admit that the tutorials in KSP are really bad. Watch some online tutorials like Scott Manley's Career Mode Tutorial for the basics. :)

cw8: I adored it. My personal GOTY for this year, followed by TW3 probably.

I made a whole thread on it like u back in Aug:
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/kerbal_space_program_is_fast_becoming_one_of_my_fav_games_of_all_time/page1
I just read your thread, and it really reminded me my experience with the game. The frustration of docking and sense of accomplishment after a new milestone. I've recently built a fueling station in high orbit over Kerbin and landed a few probes on Duna in preparation for a manned mission. How's your career going?

Currently trying to figure out how to land a rover on the Mun or Minmus (well, attach a rover in the first damn place). I've learned how to use all of the symbols well enough. Not very intuitive without a lot of research, but once you've got it down it can be pretty rewarding.

Making large rockets is a giant pain in the ass though.

Go begging.

Everybody like Kerbal :)

This can't be. Better than Commandos?

Marioface5: KSP is a lot of fun! The last time I played, I think my best accomplishment was landing on Minmus and getting back from there. Or landing on Mun and getting back, since some people seem to consider that to be harder. I did Mun first though.
Yeah, I did the Mun first too, since it's a big, "heavy" target on the equatorial plane, it's so much easier to get there on instinct. Back then, adjusting my orbit to get an orbital rendez-vous with something as small as Minmus sounded like Voodoo magic. Getting to Mun was easy. It was landing safely, and then come back to Kerbin that was really tricky.

But when you really know how to use the flightpath planning tool (for me, it took the "asteroid redirect mission part 1" tutorial), Minmus with its weaker gravity is really sooo much easier.
Driving a rover there is a pain, though. They jump into orbit at the slightest bump, and my rovers tend to be pretty unstable even on the best conditions ^^

But yeah, it's an wonderful game. The sense of accomplishment when you realize your first orbit, when you stick your first rocket landing, when you reach the Mun, when you manage your first orbital rendez-vous with a stranded Kerbal, or when you dock your first space station... It's awesome. :)

Oh yeah. I need to think about that one.

I can come with other picks :)
I haven't played Kerbal, but for a 2015 game, graphics look a bit ...well, not that good. Also its base price is 40$. Hmmm, wishlisted for the time being.
KSP does look like a good game; and it certainly has a 'good karma' aura around it (everyone seems to love it).

But at $40 (USA), I can wait awhile and play the craploads of other games in my library (many of which I haven't yet even downloaded).

GOG isn't just my "good old games" source. It's also my "I don't like spending $40 on a single game anymore (albeit with some exceptions)" source.

So.... when it drops to the $15/$20 range, I'll seriously consider purchasing it.

It seems to be one of those "holds its value a long time" game, so I suspect it may yet be a while.
i still don't get what this games is, what do you do there and whats so interesting in it?

Graphics are not KSP's forte, it's true. It can actually be pretty ugly at times. But that game is all about the gameplay, and the pleasure you get simply by learning and mastering it, and boy are those good! ^^

nope, but will watch it
