It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Is anyone else having really slow download issues with GOG lately? It's only downloading games at around 100KB/sec or less. It used to be able to download at about 1-2MB/sec. I checked my connection and the diagnostic tests said everything was ok on my side. Is GOG doing some kind of server maintenance?

Quick check...

1+ MB/s on both direct download and the GOG downloader. Business as usual here.

I wonder if it's a U.S. server issue.
No issues for me. I've always gotten max download speeds from GOG.

My speed drops I can always attribute to my garbage cable ISP on the weekends. I pay for 10mbit, lucky to get 1mbit in the evenings, especially on Sundays.
I know that the south east has had problems in the US. I think the hub in Atlanta has been having issues because of the bad weather they have been having.
Just checked, South West Coast of the U.S. here.

No issues on download speed with GoG to report.
I just hope the issue will get resolved soon. A download speed of less than 100KB/sec is unusable for games that are multiple gigs in file size.
An obvious question, but can you download normally from other sites?

Yep. It's only GOG with the oddly slow download speeds. I sent in a Support ticket, but I haven't heard back from them yet.

If you sent it today or yesterday, you won't be hearing from them till Monday, since it's the weekend and support dosesn't (usually) work on weekends.

Yeah, that's true. But I do hope GOG can do something about the slow download issue.

Are you using the downloader or browser? I've often found the downloader much faster.

I've tried both and they're incredibly slow. :-/
Did you try alternative download managers? IDM, FDM, DownThemAll (Firefox add-on), or etc?

The problem has to be on GOG's servers, since I tested the connection on my side and everything was ok. But every time I tried to download a GOG game, it's always very slow.
