IronArcturus: It has to be a routing issue with GOGs US servers. This connection problem has been plaguing me for at least 2 weeks now. :-/
I had some slow speed (<100Kb/s) last night but it recovered later. And I downloaded my Insomnia purchases in the days before at my usual speed (~1.6 Mb/s), so if it's a routing problem is not affecting all traffic from the servers.

The download speed from GOG has been incredibly slow for me for about 2 weeks now. Basically it hovers around 20KB/sec, when I used to get around 1+MB/sec over a month ago. I still don't know what happened with GOG.

Nothing happened to GOG or I would have the same problem. It's something in the way between GOG and you.

Well I'm wondering if there is some issue with GOG's U.S. servers. GOG seems to be running fine everywhere else.

I must be using the U.S. servers.

oldschool: 27 MB/s a second here, but no time to play anything 8(.
Lucky shit, even here in Canada we have 500 speeds and when you download something like a game here and steam it goes at 4 to 7... I need to come to america someday lol

Lucky? Not really, when all of the other assholes in my neighborhood match my speed I'm sure my connection will tank.

No.

If your ISP said it was a routing problem, why would you think it's anything else? You've heard from plenty of other people getting just fine download speeds (I peaked at 31MB/sec doing a test so you'd have another data point from the SE US) - the problem is getting the data to you, specifically. Ask your ISP again about it. If it's routing on their end, hopefully they can fix it.

I've already contacted my ISP multiple times about this and they told me the problem was on GOG's side.

Try pinging and tracing the host cdn.gog.com and see the results. Said address should translate to the server closest to you, and traceroute (or tracert on Windows) should allow you to see if any server in the chain takes too long to respond.
If the ping and the tracing seem both normal, check if your security suite is blocking you from having proper access.
holy crap, I get 1.5 mb/s dl speed (it's at 500kb/s most of the time). 100mbit here..., only 26gb more to go. never gonna buy a single game on gog again. steam 4 life.

I'm having the same problem here. Seems like that since Galaxy was launched, things got a bit weird.
I am getting a constant 600kb which steam is usually about 1.5mb so this is frustrating......
I am trying to download Freespace Battle pack and its not even downloading. It downloaded only 75 MB in 20 minutes.
I would wait for "off hours" both in your US time zone and overseas. I'm sure there is some "quality of service" in play and I've found that at peak times (like during the sale) it can crawl, but on off times, it's pretty darn zippy.
