It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Roxolani: Did you try alternative download managers? IDM, FDM, DownThemAll (Firefox add-on), or etc?

IronArcturus: The problem has to be on GOG's servers, since I tested the connection on my side and everything was ok. But every time I tried to download a GOG game, it's always very slow.
Then it's better to contact GOG support team. Maybe a VPN will be useful for you too.

I've already sent in a Support ticket. But I've read in the forums that other people were experiencing this weird slowdown as well. I hope GOG can fix the problem.

I hope they solve your problem as soon as possible. :)
Well it's about a day later and I'm still only getting download speed around 200KB/sec with GOG. Is anyone else also dealing with these slowdowns?
And now it's downloading down to 40KB/sec. I basically have no way to download any games anymore at this rate. :( Does anyone know why this is going so slow? When I ran a speedtest on my connection it said everything was fine on my side. Is anyone else having slow download issues as well?
Did GOG team reply to your support ticket or not? Wait for their reply.
In the meantime, have you tried increasing the number of concurrent connections in the GOG downloader?
27 MB/s a second here, but no time to play anything 8(.

Not necessarily. When you download from GOG's server, it may pass through several other servers before it reaches you. Any of those servers could be causing the slowdown in your download speeds. So GOG's server(s) could be capable of sending your download at high speed, but something between them and you prevents it reaching you at high speed.

Assuming the problem isn't at GOG's end, I would try using a VPN (if possible), as this should change the route that the download takes, and hopefully avoids the server(s) causing the current bottleneck.

I contacted my ISP and they said it was probably a routing issue. But from what I can tell, neither GOG nor the ISP can do anything about it. :-/ I can't afford a VPN. I just wish there was some other way to fix this issue.
At least you have broadband, I am stuck at 3mb. A gig file takes a little over an hour to download.
Is anyone else experiencing these really slow GOG download speeds? Right now it's going slower than 20KB/sec. This is absolutely ridiculous. :-/

Here is a screenshot of the slow transfer speeds I'm getting from GOG. :(

I just downloaded a bunch of my GOG games (with http, didn't care to launch the GOG Downloader for now). They all came with full speed, which in my case means around 1.2 Mbytes/sec (a ~10Mbit/s cable modem connection).

It has to be a routing issue with GOGs US servers. This connection problem has been plaguing me for at least 2 weeks now. :-/
Still the normal speed I should be expecting (1+ MB/s)
