Have a 500/500 connection,and I also average 3MB/s on GOG
Hi guys

i try to reintall gog app but i do not know why it takes so slow to download the filies
Was hovering around 3-5 MB / sec. Tried setting the DL speed limit to 100 MB / sec and immediately after disabling the limit again. Jumped to 92-95 MB / sec, settled around 65 MB / sec now. Made quite the impact on the expected DL speed of Cyberpunk.
i think its new patch update and DLC for cyberpunk
GOG this download speed is UNACCEPTABLE. Im in Australia DL patch for Baldurs Gate 3 current speed 250 kbs
Probably like many of the Mac users I'm currently downloading BG3 and the speed sluggishness is terrible. If you have a VPN though you may find that the most unusual spots can dramatically speed it up. I'm in Japan now but got my VPN connected to Algeria, DL speed switched from 1.2 Mb/s to 9.4 Mb/s. So far the best performance, but it oscillates so you may want to keep looking out for the best rated performance server as it fluctuates a lot! Cheers and happy gaming

250 kbs !
You lucky bastard!
I had to wait 11 and a 1/2 hours to download 2.6 gig of Vampire: Bloodlines the Masquerade.
30kbs

Australia always gets the short end of the stick.

this is insane, how is the download speed so slow for this launcher bruh? why even bother having a launcher or platform if you can't even support the customer base and let them enjoy what they purchase.
I'm in Australia and was getting 0.1mb to 1.7mb download speed. I swapped to a US server using a VPN as was 2am in the US at that time so server load would be low. This increased my download speed to 12mb to 15mb.

As I sit here ETERNALLY downloading from GOG...

... 1.7 MB/S
download on Steam GTA V (110gb) in 4 hours~ and on GOG for Cyberpunk (55gb) it takes more than 7 hours fix your download or close the program . Stop torturing people
I got this fixed on my end.

Turn off Bandwidth limit. Close the setting window, and start shutting down the client. Even in Task Manager, (anything and everything GOG related, start with the 32 bit and then progressively everything else GOG

Then start GOG up. Set Bandwidth to the highest number, depending on your connection (Mine was a random number 8000 MB/s)

Then shut it down again like what i did before.

Once you turn it back on again, download should be much faster
I have a feeling that the ISP is limiting access speed to GOG. Here's my reasoning:

My downloads were very slow and often with long pauses of 0 download speed. So I turned on the VPN (I use PIA, but surely it shouldn't matter which you use) to my local city in Australia.. which instantly woke up the speed to full speed - even beyond full speed and even a burst of 2X my max speed!

I wonder if the ISP doesn't like this forced bandwidth and throttles when it sees a connection to GOG.

Basically, try using a VPN and set it to your local server. I am really happy now. This has turned GOG from a frustrating pile of crap, into the best thing.

Good luck.
Also in Australia, 250/50mbit connection getting 30 - 150kb/s
Will take 3 - 4 hours just to get a 500MB game. :/
Thank you for telling me to switch my VPN to "USA" it miracilously lets me download 4-5MB a second, I was trying to download Warcraft 1,2 that I had purchased.

Something insane happened when I tried their "Online installer" first It was taking a minute getting 1-2 megabytes downloaded of 600mb ;D and my case fans started swinging to protect the CPU which ran up to 80°c what the hell.

I have a very powerful PC so this made no sense, tried downloading the offline installer to few kb/s until I changed to USA VPN, for my location, so basically GOG is not really super reliable is it.. I just wanted the Warcraft games for some nostalgia..
