I usually fall asleep quite easily, as long as I don't have some stress (=undone work) from work or something like that.

I think I sleep too little though, 6 hours per night, sometimes even less, 7 hours per night is plenty for me. Very rarely I sleep more than e.g. 8 hours (or even more than 7 hours), even if there is nothing waking me up. I don't feel tired on daytime, but the fact that I fall asleep quite easily and sometimes even when I shouldn't (like yesterday while watching a movie) suggests I don't quite get enough sleep, I guess.

I drink a bit of water before I go to sleep, but I don't feel the need to keep water near me. I drink water in the morning before breakfast, just to start me up.

NuffCatnip: I don´t know why, but for the last 3 months I´ve had to listen to Bob Ross videos to be able to sleep.

Exactly. :)
It´s one of my better sleeping rituals. :)
I sleep on the sides, preferably with a relatively cold tempature, black room and sleep through the mornings (I abhor mornings and morning people).

It seems it's very common to have some kind of sleep disorder, either psychologically or perhaps just that people don't want or can't due to work or whatever. So here comes an interesting question:

Anyone here that has a very strict schedule of at least 8 hours a day (or more) of sleep? If so, what's your secret? :) (excluding genes)
I always sleep on my back. Falling asleep can sometimes take a while, so I usually read a book or play a game before going to bed, which helps. I wake up to this every morning :D

Nice track, but isn´t it too "cozy" ? Don´t you get sleepy by it ?
I sleep on the side with my back to the wall. I need a really long time to fall asleep (about 30 min).

Random_Coffee: Hehe, yeah. I have the alarm set to start again every fifth minute if I don't get up and deactivate it. Just in case I fall asleep again :P My previous alarm had a more agressive beat, but still maybe a bit on the cozy side :P
Me too, but I still need 5 or more attempts to finally get out of my bed. :)
Yeah, theres still a bit of coziness left. :)

I once tried radio statics, but it got creepy far too fast for me. :`)

I'm unsure what your question was. Do you mean how can anyone muster 8 hours sleep time per night (if they have a tight schedule with their life, ie. not enough hours per day), or how can anyone make themselves sleep min 8 hours per night, without waking up before that?

I don't know if I have a tight schedule or not. I'm working, so my evenings and weekends are mostly free. I could try to sleep 8 hours or more per night if I just went to bed early enough, but quite often I choose not to. Like right now, it is 1:20am here, yet here I am still writing this message, and even thinking of giving Freespace: Silent Threat (mission: Exodus) another try before hitting the sack. I'll wake up tomorrow at around 7:45am (most mornings I wake up 8:15am, but on Mondays I have an earlier morning meeting).

I usually get up on the second try. Setting the alarm earlier helps to buy you more time as well :) You can try this :D It's not too creepy, just slightly. I have a friend that uses that one, and he's always early up :) For alarms, anything Hotline Miami works!
