Okay, I'm gonna be truthful here: My sleeping habits are literally "whatever and whenever the fuck". Can sleep anywhere from 4 hours during working days to 12 and more hours during the weekend. Can also be 8-8 and 10-6. Like I said, no consistency whatsoever. Sleeping position: no rules, if it can bend, it will. And I sleep like granite and can run a mile within 5 sec of waking up. Even I don't know how half of this is even possible.
I can only sleep on my back and no other way, it allows me to breath easiest. I guess you can say I'm into healthy living, somewhat.

Falling as sleep was a problem as long as could remember. I have a bit of heart condition so I'm bothered by noises much more than the regular person, like distant bass music and lawn mower, and but also little noises like mechanical clocks, passing cars, etc while trying to sleep. It used to take me about 2-3hours to fall asleep. So I usually use my phone or listen to music to get myself sleepy enough to fall asleep.

I got rear ended in car accident two years ago which messed up one of my lumbar a bit. I started standing up at work, this have lots of positive effects. But it's important to not bend the upper back. I didn't sleep with a pillow and somehow with the combination of standing caused my upper back to become very stiff and inflamed. I started sleeping with a pillow and the soreness was gone in quickly. I like a poly fiber squishy pillow, the stiff memory foam pillow make the situation worse.

There are two life style changes that significantly improved my sleeping. One is regular sensible sun exposure which readjust my circadian rhythm and give added benefit of vitamin D. I can see this in my dad who have zero sun exposure and he sleeps all day, which was a problem I had as well. This is hard to do if a 9-5 job, but I take advantage during the weekend, fortunately I live in Florida. The other is eating a ketogenic diet or close to it, this also means less sugar and refined carb consumption.. This contributed to sleeping well and waking up more refreshed in less time.

I still go to sleep a bit late nowaday, 1-2am usually, but its has to do with my computer habit, and still sensitive to noises, I use in ears monitor to block out noises sometimes to fall as sleep. Right now it doesn't take me too long to fall as sleep, usually play some endless runner game my Android and fall asleep in 30min, sometimes less.

I sleep with underwear and socks only, I think it help the skin breath comfortably at night.

Titanium: Even I don't know how half of this is even possible.
Let me answer that: You're not awake. You've been dreaming all of this.
Side sleeper, I wake up several times a night usually. No other habits to speak of other than I snore, every night, without fail.

I'm thinking about getting a nostril strip or something to help with the snoring. It's loud enough to hear all through my apartment.

The few times I fall asleep when laying on my back, I snore loud enough to wake myself up (louder than usual) - I am a light sleeper. I wake up very easily. Also takes me 30 minutes to an hour to fall asleep, unless I put in a full 8 hour shift at work and haven't had coffee since the morning (long story, I normally prefer shorter shifts due to arthritis and other issues, but that's another thread for another time)
I can't go to sleep unless I'm on my stomach or at least in a sideways position, but usually I wake up on my back. Also, weird as it may sound, yes it takes a while to get me to sleep, and yes I too keep ~1L of water for when I wake up during the night.
I also got a habit of getting up at 8 AM, no matter how late, or early I go to bed, like last night I went to bed at around 2-3 AM, well, I woke up at around 8:00-8:15. This is why I try to go to bed early, somewhere around midnight, enough to get ~8h of sleep.

Used to be a stomach sleeper in my youth but have since naturally changed to sleeping on my side, favoring the left. However, I'm able to sleep in any position, back, stomach, side...which was really helpful when I cracked a couple of ribs last year and couldn't lie on my left side at all for a few weeks.

I don't have any rituals or a particular sleeping pattern. Sometimes I lay awake for hours, sometimes I fall asleep within minutes, sometimes I sleep like a stone without waking once, sometimes I wake for a few seconds every hour. Most of the time I wake once or twice during the night but go right back to sleep. I'm a vivid dreamer, except for the occasional slept-like-a-stone thing.

I have young children. I don't sleep too often, and when I do, it's rarely on my terms.

That's a very reasonable explanation.
Another stomach sleeper here, it is the most relaxing to me. I usually fall asleep on my stomach, but sometimes also on my side, like yesterday when I fell asleep on the sofa while watching a movie (The Amazing Spider-Man, god damn it was boring, no wonder I fell asleep, missing the last third of the movie).

I wake up in any position though, on my side or on my back, sometimes on the top of my head. So it is not like that even if I fall asleep on my stomach, I sleep whole night like that. People tend to move around a lot while they sleep, at least I do.

About which position is the healthiest to sleep at, I keep hearing claims of risks on all of them:

On your stomach: bad for your neck as it is twisted sideways.

On your side: can be bad for your heart, at least if you are sleeping on your left side (heart at the bottom, taxes it more). Or was it vice versa? Either way, one side was supposed to be a risk to your heart, go figure. Plus, some "expert" claimed that it will disfigure your face and head too (especially with infants with soft heads, but also with adults), you should sleep on your back to prevent that. Yeah right.

On your back: bad for your respiration, may make you snore and make sleep apnea worse, which may even KILL YOU!!!111!!eleven!!! Also if you have cold, all the snot and phlegm will go to your sinus and cause or at least make sinusitis worse.

So all in all, sleeping can be hazardous to your health and many people end up waking up dead. So I figure it doesn't matter that much in which position I fall asleep as I will keep moving and turning in my sleep anyway, hopefully lessening (not increasing) sleep-related risks.

Tauto: I toss and turn all night
That must constantly wake your sister up.
I'm not able to sleep in any position other than on side and facing the wall. :D
I don´t know why, but for the last 3 months I´ve had to listen to Bob Ross videos to be able to sleep.
And I have to sleep on my right side, plus the blanket has to be tuckered under my feet.

I have a couple weird sleeping habits. :/

I need to have the wall at my back to be able to sleep, otherwise I just won´t fall asleep. :)
