SylvanFae: Yeah, lots of tv shows do that. Especially if they are longer and planned to air any episode during Christmas time.

Orkhepaj: nearly all shows have them , i dont blame them , i like those christmas episodes

I see comments are turned off. I wonder why.
Thank you for the giveaway, I'm in. Happy holidays!

About movies it's difficult to find only one movie I usually watch during Christmas: in fact I have a single movie for every day from 24th to 31th December. I especially love 4 of them:

Ghostbusters (the original 1984) - when I was a child there was always this movie on TV on 24th or 25th
Scrooged - Bill Murray + Dickens (one of my favourite writers)
Gremlins - Gizmo IS my childhood!
Trading Places - another piece of my childhood

About TV: I usually rewatch two Doctor Who Christmas Specials: The runaway Bride (Tennant + Tate = best Doctor / Companion) and A Christmas Carol: I really like both of them but if I have to choose between them, I'd pick the first one. I rewatch also some Christmas episodes from Futurama (Xmas Story, A Tale Of Two Santas, The Futurama Holiday Spectacular) and Frasier (I really don't remember each one of them).

3 Christmas songs from 3 different ages:

Bing Crosby - White Christmas
Wham! - Last Christmas
South Park - Dreidel's Song

Again: happy holidays and stay safe!

Swedrami: Not in, just shamelessly using the opportunity to post about the arguably best part of one of my all-time favourite TV specials:
Ein Adventsgedicht
Nice, a timeless German classic by the legendary Loriot. Reminds me of another great Christmas special:

Weihnachten bei den Hoppenstedts

Ok, sure. Those are some nice Christmas tunes but they don't compare to The Wizards in Winter (plus light show).

Just curious, but do Americans regularly leave on Christmas lights (esp. very glaring, flashing ones) throughout the whole night? Or do they turn it off after midnight?

If they don't, then poor birds and animals who live outdoors (and esp. nocturnal, like owls!) who might get really disturbed by them.

I can't speak for all Americans but me and my family usually leave the lights on for a few hours at night so that the neighbors and ourselves can enjoy the cool lights then shut them off before going to bed. The only exception is on Christmas Eve, we leave them on all night so Santa Clause can find our house. ;)
Awesome! and +1 for your generosity and creativity!

Not in because:

a) Music I would be all over but I'm not as in tune with shows/movies. I do enjoy some of those movies other people have listed, but there's none that I insist on watching annually, other than maybe Peanuts Christmas during these years when my child is young (child doesn't appreciate it as much as we did back when, though, probably because now there are infinite alternatives)

b) my Wishlist is mostly placeholders rather than things I'm actively seeking so your time/money/gifts are best awarded elsewhere :)
Thanks for giveaway!
I'm in :)

My favourite movie about Christmas has been Home Alone.
It is a classic that was always in my heart. I have seen it several times but it is a film that we never tire of seeing at Christmas time.
From the funny situations and the present humor, he manages to bring the feeling of fun and remarkable to the viewer.
Undoubtedly, a great movie for someone to see at Christmas time. :)
Thank you for the giveaway!
I am in!

Here's another vote for Hogfather
And one for Nightmare before Christmas.
And one for Die Hard - the ultimate Christmas movie!

But actually one movie that I watch every year, not on Christmas but around now is "Die Feuerzangenbowle", a German classic. It's shown every December in many German universities and it's custom to accompany the movie with drinking Feuerzangenbowle and participate in the movie with sparklers and bells and so on.
