While Rage wasn't all that in my opinion it's not as terrible as some people make it out to be (but to each his own :)). Rage 2 on the other hand.

I just started playing Rage but have't gotten very far. Does it turn to shit at some specific point or is it just an all around let down?

I didn't think it was a letdown except for the ending. If you like what you've played till now you'll enjoy the rest of the game. RAGE is just all around average in my opinion it fails at nothing and excells at nothing. All I can say is don't expect to much from the game and since it isn't extremely long it doesn't overstay it's welcome. But that's my opinion.

NO ACTUAL GAMEPLAY SHOW IN TRAILERS, which seems to be so fashionable nowadays. they then force the customer to google out vids to see the actual game. ffs all i need is a glimpse just to see if its a style i like or loathe

i dont have that one. i have pretty bad game nausea, which i realize is my prob. i just cant stand devs that dont do the minimum to allow me to negate it in settings
